What's with the (sic) that's under part II in CAC?

Hmmm... i was a bit dumbdified (lol!) about that too... anyway, about the 'distinct look', it really isn't anything. I use all the most basic tags and that's how it looks lol but i'm happy to do the rest too

LOL.
It appears [HPB] was rendered speechless there.
Anyway the (sic) is an editorial mark meaning 'Spelling Is Correct' in reference to 'Gorge' which most would assume was meant to be 'George'.
Silly me though, I got so focussed on getting that bit right I screwed up "King's". Which shazz has corrected in version of my CAC page and hopefully Darkwin has fixed in his version of Part II (also note: Roman Numerals)
Tis Friday lads and I'll need to access the next episodes by Sunday afternoon.

A1046404 - Fragmented 4 Ed
A1046413 - Fragmented 5 Ed
Umm, and I've asked [HPB] to post all the corrections for Part Five in one conversation, so it'll be complete and final. Other than Part 5, all the others are done i suppose

Part III needs a hash key (#) in front of In The Brownie's.. as it's a line from a Billy Connely song!
All spellings are right unless I say otherwise! Have faith in me!

Part IV needs 'sandled' changed to 'sandalled'... my spelling mistake.. had to change it myself!

The CAC CONTINUUM - The ongoing adventures of the Committee for Alien Content (a division of AggGag) Posted May 11, 2003
I don't understand the '#' (what you call a 'hash mark').
But I have added one to the CAC issue intro as part of the NEW episode title:
"Part III - # In the Brownies"
is that correct?
Hopefully Darkwin will add it to his version.
I will again be linking to Darkwin's copy. The site is very slow today and it's taking me hours to put the page together. Up to 5 minutes for each 'update'.
peace

Well the hash key is the written form of singing eg.
#Old Mc.Donald had a resturant,
E-I, E-I-O
Hope that makes sense...
'In the Brownie's' was a line from scottish comedian Billy Connelly's send-up of the Village People's 'In The Navy'...
A Brownie in Connelly's case is a girl-scout... where he did the navy thing except dressed up as girl-scouts...
You should know that coming from 'New Scotland'!

Gosh no! But you have every right to wonder. My failure to reply sooner could be seen as 'animosity' if (a) one was particularly paranoid or (b) I failed to respond a second time.
As sometimes happens, a conversation thread is pushed down my 'most current conversations' listing by a rash of new threads in several Forums I subscribe to; and if I am not online for 24 hours or so it can get pushed down so far it goes to page two or even three of that list.
Since I am now responding we can rule out (b).
I honestly did not see your postings of 5 days ago until you posted here again, which is the proper thing to do when you get no reply after a couple of days. I wish I had seen it sooner to make the 'apostrophe' correction.
As for A1052425, I'll wait to see if Darkwin does his thing.
Meanwhile I'll be trying to make a copy of Part IV for this weekend.
The 'web' is full of mysteries, and among the greatest msyteries are 'what are other people really thinking?' Written communication between virtual (in the old sense) strangers (in a nice way) is difficult. You may recall I have asked both you and Darkwin for clarifications and personal information on several occassions. I believe that asking is the only way to solve most online 'mysteries'.
And if you don't get an answer from 'anyone' the first time, try again at least twice more. Then if you get no reply you gotta figger that researcher has 'left', is computer illiterate or really doesn't like you for some reason. That will help rule out (a).

Strange... If it was somewhere in 'real' life us peeps would never speak... unless it's through a transaction maybe...
Oh and ignore a bit in the other convo asking why you haven't replied to this convo!

Ah! But I've came to the conclusion that:
a/ you don't like my story on a personal level...
b/ you haven't had time to read it...
c/ you like it but you don't mention it...
