It's part of a series of books by a guy called Terry Pratchett. We're discussing some of the finer points of his more recent work, called "Thief of Time"

If you don't know the author, then you won't understand why Jade laughs when I put the word "Ook" down, and you need to go to the library/bookshop and get one.

Jade, what would you recommend for the novice?

On a different note, remember the rugby chat a few pages ago? Well, if you hadn't heard, it's the rugby union world cup this year - and USA have qualified. They're in the same group as France, Scotland, Japan and Fiji - the possibility of massacres isn't as high as it might be, but it should give some good games.

Discworld novels, Chronos me lad. Written by the great and rever'd Terry Pratchett. You ought to look them up. They're /very/ good.

He ought to start with Mort. Then we can get his Death obsession up and running good and early. Gods know it's the one /I/ started with...

But as for favourites... I rather liked Thief of Time. But then I like any books with Death in them, so yes.

not much, loving Star Gate SG1: Season 5. They should have let Teelc keep the big gun from the 4th episode though. They'd own more baddies faster that way

I think it was the portable cannon from a death glider
