It's true... it's a gift. I'm not into all those dream books and stuff.. but there are a couple classic symbols that usually mean the same thing... but not always... so I trust the spirit and my instict.

Wow. Yeah, I've had some pretty accurate dreams before. Not often now, but I did for quite a while.

I've been having really cinematic dreams lately... playing out like a play or an epic. Kinda traumatic. I really want my old, symbolic, random, and discombobulated stuff back... I get too involved otherwise.

The other night it was a beautiful man who was trying to leave a city we were in... we'd known each other a long time... he was in some desparate situation and I was trying to help him... a coconut was mailed to me by my brother in the middle of it... and people kept on interrupting me with mundane stuff while I was trying to help this man I was helplessly in love with... there was a truck involved, like an old fashioned small moving truck... I woke up actually crying after some wild desparate conversation with the man...
I think I need to lay off the novels and movies for a while.

I don't actually remember the last interesting dream I had - the contents are not what made it memorable. Thing is, I woke up with a vague and yet powerful sense of ill-will towards a guy who I barely know. Something in this dream had made me dislike him intensely, for some reason I couldn't quite recall. Very odd, especially since he's a fairly mild-mannered character.

I'v had several interesting dreams. In my favorite one I was a soldier in the trenches during World War 1. It started with my minds eye zooming in from a few meters over the trenches to me and then my perspective merged with me and I saw through my eyes (like 1st person), I had the uniform, the gear, the bolt action rifle, there was lots of mud, lots of noise. then, I started to look around and I saw that all the other soldiers in my trench were life size Lego men! And then I looked at the charging Germans and they were real Germans, running at us and shooting at us. Then my perspective left me and started zooming away, eventualy I, the allied Lego men, and the Germans were obscured and all I could see was charred, cratored battlefield and then that was obscured by clouds. After that it got really wierd. I was seeing Europe from orbit and suddenly (I'm not making this up, I swear) an Imperial Star Destroyer jumped into orbit, leveled its ventral guns at Europe, and opened fire, it sprayed Europe with energy until the clouds had been disipated and Europe blackened. Then I woke up.
Here's another interesting one, I was in a well furnished office, there were several attendants and secretaries scurrying about, and I recall that I was being breifed on the public opinion of a law I had recently had passed. It was a really tough anti-drug law that made it a life sentance offense for musicians to use drugs. They said that all the bands in Brittain were up in arms over it and that there were more plots than ussual on my life. I was getting ready to give a speech to a joint setion of the House of Lords and the House of Commons. I walked to the meeting chamber, with my aids behind me. I pushed open the door to the room (at this point I noticed that the meeting chamber was the Congresional Hall, in America, not the room the House of Commons meets in, I'v seen it on C-SPAN-2), I was barely through the door when some unseen asailent shot me in the chest with a rifle! I fell bleeding into the arms of the aids behind me, the Senate hall was thrown into chaos and I died while my secretaries where screeming for the paramedics. (it should be noted that I was the Prime Minister of Brittain in this dream).
could you tell me what these dreams mean Yankee Shoes?

I just wrote you a big long reply and my computer ate it.
Nothing jumped out at me about your first dream, except you are one weird kid.
Short version. If this speaks to you, you can ask me why I cam to this conclusion.
Regarding the second dream: You have a goal in your life that is secret and/or special to you. You believe you'd have to be someone else entirely to be able to fufill it, and even if you did, you fear you wouldn't be able to complete it, even if you did everything right. This goal would put you in a position of influence... a cause to fight for, or a calling per se. You also see your homelife as a distraction or impedence to this goal? How does that sound? close to the mark or way off course?

Wow. Y-S, your dream is remarkably close to the worst dream I ever had...
It was a wonderful dream to begin with, I was at some sort of camp or other, woods, lakes, winding dirt paths, and sunshine. I met a girl, who I knew was the one whom I should and would love, and we talked and walked together for perhaps, in the dream, three minutes. Then, as we were both happy, she vanished, along with everyone else, and I knew then that I would never see her again.
I woke up a mess. Never really knew pain until then... still hurts a bit today, even if it wasn't real. That was a good four years ago...

Well, it's was weirdly traumatic... even though it wasn't the guy in my dream, I think it's after shocks of a relationship I had... there's a poem about the RL one on my webpage.

Ug. The reason I'm up right now is because of a dream. Didn't make any sense, and wasn't that cool, either. Even though it had vampires, which used to scare me, but now I'm always killing them if they happen to be in my dream. Poor sods.

thanks YS. I do infact several goals in life that are not at all likely and a very strong desire to be both succesful in a career and with a family
here's one for you, I don't know what it is I dreamed last night, but I fell asleep face up, and I woke up face down. I also had a pain in my chest. When the dilerium finaly cleared I realized that I had somehow yanked my alarm clock out of its place and its plug was digging into my chest and I was hugging the rest of it tightly. Not a dream, but rather its effects.
