There probably isn't any gas in that thing either!

Splendid Esso pump! The photo really gives it a presence, even though its past its useful years, at least as a pump. Now it can look charismatic in photos.
Amazing that Esso logo. So simple, yet so iconic, like so many logos. For the Esso one, for me its something to do with the shape of the E.
I love logos for this reason. Simple designs, recognised everywhere. I'm going to get obsessed with logos now.

They asked me how I knew, it was Esso Blue, I of course replied, with lower grades one buys, smoke gets in your eyes. .....
