sofa request! As hotels in London, even for 1 night are prohibitively expensive for I am humbly requesting use of a sofa/spare bed/ bit of floor for 1 or 2 nights for the meet.

Right. Last week, I booked my trains and hotel, so barring any major catastrophe, I'm ready to move from "May Attend" to "Attendees".

I decided not to sleep in the Rosewood hotel .. poor pensioners are not supposed to spend 600 Euro per night just to sleep.

OK, folks MMF will be contacting the necessary people to arrange the evening bit of the meet, and some firm numbers would be helpful. Could everyone please check that you are on the correct list? Also, if you're a "maybe", could you let me know how firm a "maybe" you are? I'll adjust the meet page before the weekend. If I don't hear from you, I'll leave you where you are, but I'd rather hear...

I'd really love to have joined you on the 22nd July, but I've been shafted by my employer. I'm on call that weekend, and all three of my duty manager colleagues are on holiday, so I can't swap.

Suffice to say I'm really annoyed.
