OK, so photos. If anyone is doing a series of pictures, how about getting a flickr account and then posting a link to it here so we can follow along?
If it's just the one-off photo (and why not?) or you do not have a flickr account, feel free to send your photos to [email protected] and we will use the Create flickr account.
Towards the end of the month we will look at getting some of our best photos uploaded.
In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas for photography projects? Any advice for either cityscape or landscape photography?

I'm taking photos of the Forth Bridges every day for Feb. I'm planning an entry to go with it, an entry on how crossing the Forth has defined Queensferry for 1000 years, and the place of the Bridges in local culture.

Cool! A double whammy.
I'm taking some photos of the Thames. Same spot, different times of day/ weather conditions. No entry, though.
I'll post the link when I have uploaded them to flickr.

I got the pictures uploaded. I've got two sets. One for the Thames, and one for sights of London.
Thames: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30445231@N08/sets/72157629160621013/
London: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30445231@N08/sets/72157629161212187/
I may go though my Moscow digital pix and see if there is anything interesting.
Fun, this!

Could I ask you all to send 1 photo of each locale to ?
postteamhg - at- gmail- dot - com.
I want to make a quiz out of them.
Just send me the photo, your username and usernumber, and a brief description of what it is.

I'm doing "The Belfast Nooks and Crannies Project", a series of photos with the one big rule that scenes can't be used if they've ever appeared on the news or in tourist brochures.
Probably easier to follow it through my journal: F1886503?thread=8289774

Does it have to be only new photos? I got some good older ones and could additionally do new ones.

Sol Posted Feb 7, 2012
I was thinking of looking out some of my old photos, actually. I'm actually enjoying the actual challenge I've set myself, mind you. But I've got some cool photos it would be good to share.
When do yo need the photos by, Dmitri? Or are you happy for them to come in throughout Feb?

Dmitri Gheorgheni, Post Editor Posted Feb 7, 2012
Send them whenever.
The issue for the 13th is complete, so I'm collecting stuff for the 20th now.
Please be sure to check in, everybody - will be profusely illustrated on the 13th.
And send in photos. Send me username and usernumber, the name of the place, and an interesting factoid about it. We're going to make up quizzes.

Wow, Tav, those are great. I particularly liked the one of the church and the snowy landscape.
Could I ask you to send me the one with the double-eagle, along with a sentence or two about where and what it is? I'm trying to make up a quiz for the Post.
And Solnushka and KB, could you each pick one photo with an interesting building or feature, and send it to me with an explanation of what it is, and what's unusual about it? Thanks.

Is it too late for me to throw my hat into the ring?
There is already an entry on my home town, ( A500347 not written by me, and seriously needs updating), but I had already taken a few pics to illustrate it, and was keeping them to submit when I had others for a couple of other articles that I did write, eg: A31268298
Anyhow, your Create photo challenge suggested that there are a number of other places of interest around Kingston I could yet take. So if I can join in late, those photos already taken are here:

Some great photos on the other lists BTW
Deke.

username
Usernumber
Short description and an interesting factoid.
(You'll see what I'm after when you look at tomorrow's edition of .)

That's interesting Deke. I didn't know that. And I don't live so far away from Kingston. I wonder if they'll use it for the next coronation?
