*Isard imediately opens the cockpit up and flies out at about mach 2 (with his shiney new P-90 and grenade launcher and obsurd amounts of ammo) into the parking deck were he parked his limo*
just so that you know Daedalus, a naquida reactor self destructing would be something like 10 megatons minimum, Craxus can back me up on that, he knows more about the things than I do. So you would be killing most of your villian friends and I would get my glorius death by nuking.

Daedalus Posted Dec 29, 2002
[Computer] Got you!
*The cockpit reseals as Isard rockets through the ceiling, and out of the compound at Mach 2. The systems shut down, and the mech powers off.*
Allright, guys. This one's ready!

His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Dec 29, 2002
Well, that's quite a road block for the other isn't it.
*Isard, realizing that he is not unjoined atoms and vapour clouds, flies back to the enterence to the east Mech hanger, and watches as Craxus and Yar seem to be staring at each other.*

His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Dec 29, 2002
remember continuity Daedalus, you can't tell me where I just flew, I didn't rocket throught the ceiling, I went through some halls

Re-routing auto-cannon controls to my directive...

Finished. Targeting [Isard]...
Research Lab
His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Dec 29, 2002
*Isard's helmet sensors detect targeting sensors locking on to him. Isard does not like how that makes him feel, so he takes out the shiney P-90, loads it with armor peircing delayed explosive rounds and blasts the auto guns to small burning peices*

Engaging secondary fetures...
*The doors seal behind isard, and there is the steady hiss of air leaving the room.*
Research Lab
His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Dec 29, 2002
*Isard's armor seels itself so that Isard can breath from air stored in his backpack. Isard leaps onto the top of the Mech and climbs back to the Mech and rips the computer relay cables from the reactor box. Isard now removes his biggest Vibro-blade, a machette, and cuts the armor away from the manual reactor control panal. Isard re-sets the self destruct, and programs the trigger to a single overly dramatic red button under a small clear plastic hinged lid.*
*Isard sets his helmet transmitter to broadcast on frequincies that he knows Daedalus will be monitoring and says...*
Open those doors and I will cause the nuking that will kill me and your villian friends!
Research Lab
Daedalus Posted Dec 29, 2002
*The walls hum as a large EMP burst renders the remaining components of the mech to worthless silicon.*
Resistance is futile. Your mechs are either stolen or destroyed.
Research Lab
His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Dec 29, 2002
*Isard, entirely un-amused with this rebelouis tech, decided that it is time for him to leave, but how to do it? there are no means within the confines of this blasted room...so he seeks help from without. Isard transmits to his limo, through a thuroughly un-hackable transmitter, using fully un-hackable encriptions that it is to fire 1 baradium rocket into the offending door nearest it, thus creating his door to freedom. The car does so. when the Baradium rocket hit the door its warhead fused and created a 5 meter wide "blast sphere" which vaporised all of the metal in between Isard and freedom. Isard was quick in jetting out of room and into his waiting Limo. The door closed and flew back to Teranic government headquarters (upon Isard's entry into the vehicle, it stopped recieving data of any kind from any source), dropping a 5 second fused Naquida bomb on the way out.*

Thought you aught to know, but there is nothing that Daedalus cannot hack... some things may take a while, but a good majority, two posts, tops.
Research Lab
Mystrunner Posted Dec 29, 2002
The other thing is that we need to try and keep the tech. level a bit more constant. Like, current day, and about ten years plus. Super explosives force feilds and plasma weapons aren't around yet, though some may show up, in specific areas

His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Dec 29, 2002
can he even hack into a car slaved to the thoughts of 1 biological being? even when this car shuts down its transmitters and recievers? even when by shutting down I mean the circuit is broken by a whole inch of no conductive air? can he?

Mystrunner Posted Dec 29, 2002
If there's any way for it to be communicated with, by phone or anything else, there's always a way in. Daedalus is designed to learn the defences, and respond accordingly. Because, in the condition of which you speak, there would be no way for you to get in.
Of course, a Terranic Vehicle that is a private class would take quite a while to be commandeered. And learning to drive is no picknick. But it may be wiser to rely on your wits and skills rather than technology for a while...

His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Dec 29, 2002
it doesn't matter I'm back at the headquarters by now, and the vehicle is locked down, being gassed up and having another rocket put in. So I'm somewhat safe.

You know what? I have no idea who's on whose side, so maybe if we can put something like [HERO], [ANARCHIST], or [TERRANIC] somewhere in our nics, things'll be a bit easier for me (and everyone else) to figure things out. Anyway ... time to reveal ONE reason why I didn't want Craxus automatically slicing up my armor and IMMEDIATELY putting a sword at my throat.
[The armor is pummeled by Craxus's bullets. It is bulletproof, but it isn't inertia-proof, so it is knocked backward into the far wall, where it falls apart, revealing ... that nobody was in it!]
[Yar's uncontrollable giggling can be heard from a side room, but it is hard to tell what direction it's in.]

Isard's naquida bomb: "four seconds until detonation..."
Research Lab
Mystrunner Posted Dec 30, 2002
Hate to say it, but nadequa isn't really viable in this quest yet. Maybe later, but right now, with everything confused and unbalanced, it really doesn't fit it with current tech. progression. So I'm going to have to get rid of the nuklear properties, and make it more like a very large bundle of C4*

*Regains conciousness long enough to see a medbot scurrying about and wonders if it's going to help out in any way or not.*
*falls unconcious again. Begins dreaming pleasant dreams of killing Isard.*
