This space is not digi-box friendly, naughty, naughty
Since, we've also found it better to have the dna link, on your own space wouldn't it be beneficial to all if they could find the link and how to write it onto their own space from this space?

funny enough manda had this idea a few weeks ago...
but first, the LDers space is actually digibox friendly... hehe...
peeps have to click on 360...
all we need to add is a footnote explaining why...
as the personal page is already too big for the digibox, we have to rely on manda's pc to make alterations... and of course at the mo' the above mentioned pc is off line... doh!!!!
to go back to the 360 link yeah it's a great idea... once the lDers have understood the need to use the 360 trick... last night while lurking i noticed a recent convo where 2 LDers were moaning about frozen screens etc... and they are on the list so they are supposed to know about 360...
another example closer to us, on one convo where one LDer was told about the link, other LDers were there but none of them asked about it even so they know it's useful... hehe... my hair is getting greyer by the minute...
might need a new strategy there...

Must have missed that
I didn't realise it was too big to alter the coding using a digi-box, so what's the limit of it then?
I think, I know who you was lurking on, cos I tried to show them how to do it, but was met with apathy
I think it's as soon as you mention GuideML, off they
So, what a different tactic could be, would be to show them how to do it in plain text, then maybe more might try it.
For most smilies are the biggest thing, with not having them in ld anymore, so they seem to keep well clear of any sort of coding

yeah plain text first for the timid ones and GuideMl for the more aventurous.. hehe...
even if they copy it on their journal or something that would be something....
new strategy?!... one entry especially for that link... with bigger letters and nice colours... with some great pictures [dunno which ones yet]... and hammering the fact that this link will make their life easier on h2g2...
then if they want to understand the idea behind it they can have a look at the entry on the 360 trick...
yep the coding in GuideMl does take more space and somehow the digibox won't allow the same space than a PC... ing inconvenient really...
i will try to find some clues on how much text can be allowed per page through a digibox... because of that the TV series one gonna have to be also in two parts just to make sure...

Is there a list somewhere of things to do to make a page digibox friendly?

i'm glad you asked... hehe...
it's like the talk of the moment as we produced another entry encouraging researchers to make their space more digibox friendly...
it's @ A849134
thanks for asking...
talk later...
