i am proud to be an LDer myself as i find that the library is a great way to test the water when it comes to ideas, theories etc... plus i made some great friends there [some of them being around too]... but i'm disgressing.. hehe...

cut and paste eh?... from the digibox it's a clear "nope" i'm afraid... and as far as i know there is no way around it but to copy the code associated with the picture...

if it's any kind of consolation it took me a while to realise my mistakes the first time i tried... i usually learn better with a practical example than a general one...

are you using guideML?!... unfortunately it seems to be also the only way to put pictures in an entry while using a digibox...

oh by the way by using the "360 back door" you should not have to worry about the number of threads in conversations anymore... it's a little bit of a bother going through the steps at first but after a while it becomes a second nature...
which is great [if i say so myself... hehe] as now digibox users can be involved in any conversation they want...

i added another little tip in the page...

i noticed that this "trick" reduces drastically the frozen screen problem usually linked with lack of memory...

i think the page is 99% finished now... hehe...

i just changed the title for the next messages... hehe... peeps might think it's a religious cult and all... lmho...

anyway had a few problems with the digibox as the memory was very bad but one thing is sure with the "preferences" set on "frames" there is pratically no frozen screens... after that if the machine is a bit stubborn it's a question of using the "360 back door" a few times but at least there is no need to unplug the machine... the blue key is also useful when the digibox flashes the blue messages... i noticed that if i press ok the messages come back while with the blue key it seems to keep them at bay... well that's the update for today...

i will see if re: the blue key it's just a coincidence or if there is a pattern that can be used to trick the machine even more...

it's ok...

it takes you to "360" which is a site too but fortunately it's sharing the same space than h2g2 so it's no problem to access your page... look at the left-hand side and you will see "my space" press ok and you will see your page in 360 format... then you can access your conversations...
after a while you will automatically go back into the skin you use [classic goo being a good example... hehe] so don't worry you're not going to be stuck in 360...

not everybody knows that 360 is another site and the fact that it is sharing the same space than h2g2... so i might have to write another entry for these kind of things... [not everyone might have thought of asking...]
and yes tho' you're in 360 format [or skin] for a while you are still in h2g2...

i will write another entry explaining about 360 as i do think that many peeps might have been confused when arriving in the 360 homepage....

i ONLY know about the 360 site because i was nosy and explored that part of the DNA sites...

i might ask manda [as she is a "ACE"] if there is an entry explaining that already... if yes i will link it to the one i will write....

as this method to "tame the digibox" is new it's important that people ask questions...

then the answers will be ready for the next 100s people who will have the same problems...

so see your questions as a contribution to progress... hehe...
