Lucrecia (Knight of an Unusual Amount of Healing Items, Movie Buff Extraordinaire - A809958)

Hey ya! Lucrecia here!

I liked this entry a lot... Almost as much as I liked the movie itself! (*basks in fond memories*)

Anyway, a few suggestions...

This article would benefit a lot from some headers to break up all of the text. If you don't know how to use headers (or Guide ML for that matter) give me a holler (<- distinctly American slang alert!) and I'll teach you what little I know!

Also: You might not want to give away the end of the movie in the review, if the goal is to get more people to see it! You might want to put in a little teaser so that people will want to see what happens to Wyld Stallions! You also forgot about Socrates (they pronounce it "So Crates" As a philosophy enthusiast, this cracks me up every time!) and Abe Lincoln (who, at the jail, spells his name to Ted's dad, to which he replies "I know how to spell "Lincoln" alright? Hilarious!)

Keep up the great work!

-Lucrecia

Gnomon - time to move on

This looks like a good review. There are one or two typos:

curtious --> courteous
continious --> continuous

You might like to mention that the phone-box is based on Dr Who's Tardis. Unlike the Tardis, which is bigger inside than out, the phone-box in Bill and Ted is very definitely smaller inside than out.

yes, a great film. i liked it too. ummm, this is going to sound harsh, but please dont take it in a bad way, i REALLY want to see this in the guide and i thing there is a lot of good material here.

i think missy had married one of the guys dads then divorced him and married the other, by the way. there was definately something wierd going on there.

the princesses are constantly refered to as the 'princess babes', not 'princesses'.

as for the review.

firstly, definately delete the spoiler about the end of the film. it doesnt add anything to the review and makes the review read like a plot summery, not a review with a description of the main plot points.

secondly, there are loads of bits that dont REALLY make sense, but to be honest they can be fixed by the sub ed of you cant do it.

the section on the various characters needs work. most of the comments dont actually make sense as they are. for instance, the comments on alex winter sound more like you mean keano reeves. it certainly needs looking at again.

to be honest, i think this could be great as it stands (with a little titivating) but would only be understood by people who already know the film. i strongly recommend you get a friend who has never seen it to have a look and tell you which bits are confusing. i think you are reading what you think is there not what is actually there, if you see what i mean.

the quotes which are scattered through the text also are pointless unless you have seen the movie. they need both explanation and to change place in the text if you are going to justify keeping them in.

also, it might be worth mini bio's of winter and reeves, only a few lines, but as they are both rather well known now then it's a bit silly not to put some of their major accrediations in. if people know the actor by part not by name then they wont recognise them form this review, whereas you need to get as many recognisable points in as possible.

that lot all sounds pretty horrid. i dont mean it that way. but it is a great film, the sequal is even better, and this could be a great entry rather than a mediocre one.

best of luck with it

headers

The thing you want to be a header

then before pressing update make sure you press change style.

any code is in capital letters and is between <> to starts a code you just put the code you want between angle brakets i.e. or or or and to end it you do the same thing but add an / to the braket. dont forget to make sure that brakets dont overlap. so is ok, but is not.

good luck

you can get a better explanation at the guide ml clinic.

Gnomon - time to move on

I watched B&T last night, so it is fresh in my mind.

The description of Bill says that "obviously Ted is his best friend and has blonde hair". You'll have to rewrite this. It looks like Ted has blonde hair, which he doesn't. Don't talk about Ted at all and it will make sense. After all, you describe Ted in the next section.

Don't bother mentioning that Rufus gives them new guitars. It is a minor point at the end of the film and not at all important.

The princesses were called princesses most of the time in the film, not 'princess babes', so leave that bit as it is.

Hello
I think I saw the director interviewed somewhere and he was saying that they saw Alex and Keanu (sorry can't remember how to spell it) in a queue at a fast food restaurant and thought they would be perfect for the roles.

Might be worth checking to see if this is right.smiley - smiley

Hi

I haven't seen the film but this is interesting and informative entry and I think could be edited guide worthy...if you could just remove the two small first person references from the end then it just may well be smiley - whistle

Seems to me like it has too many paragraph breaks...

Oh, and there IS a blob of the telephone booth, let me dig it up it's here somewhere...
Aha! B1915529

And If you have any intention at all of working with this entry, you might want to link to Air Guitar - A88319 The Matrix - A195635 Joan of Arc - A403543 and Beethoven - A584859 .

Other than that, great entry and I hope it gets picked!

'BLOB'????????

A807815 - 'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure'- the film

Gnomon - time to move on

A blob is a picture in the h2g2 picture library. Blobs are referred to by the letter B followed by a number. You can use blobs in Guide Entries by using the PICTURE tag.

The blob mentioned above (B1915529) is of Dr Who's Police Telephone Box. It is not suitable for inclusion in an entry on Bill and Ted and would be removed by the editors when the entry gets picked.
