St. Etienne v. Nice was postponed, for reasons that are obvious if you look at the pictures here: http://www.asse.fr/asse-pages/asse-actualites-01.php?idArticle=653

And I've worked out from this page here - http://www.bjk.com.tr/tr/yfs.php?kat_no=99&akat_no=1&tumu=E - that the Denizlispor v Beskitas game is also off!
(Note the way that "Hafta 19" has dropped from 28th January to the 29th March)

This'll teach you to pick oblique continental matches.

Ah, thought I was going mad, I could find no mention of the Denizlispor match even as a fixture on the official website of either club!
So, with two matches off and what I believe is a full house in another (my first! ) I feel good about this week now

"les verts" played a couple of times in the snow last year, but this weekend it was really deep, we had about 15 cm in lyon so easily twice that in saint-etienne i reckon...

concerning whingeing about the difficulty of researching european matches, i would once again like to recommend http://www.equipe.fr/Football/index.html as a starting point. you get standings/schedules.statistics for all leagues with links to official club sites. and you don't really need to speak french (or turkish); statistics is statistics!

I've been working all day long on a paying project - and god knows I need the money right now! - and haven't had time to do the results. I'm planning on doing the marking later on tonight.

All things considered, I found that to be a rather satisfying week. Plenty of points awarded despite there being only the three games. Lots of points for getting the result right, which is always a thing I find very satisfying.
So to the stellar performers for the week. Well that's creachy with a very tasty 8 points . Then there's Orcus with a foreign full house - which is always pleasing. Then I suppose there is me with three results out of three.
And I've a final word for Demon Drawer: it's an 'o' not an 'e'
----------
Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (AMANATIDIS, Frier, Butt)
Germinal Beerschot 2-0 Anderlecht (CAVENS)
RBC Roosedndaal 0-2 Heerenveen (BRUGGINK, Hansson)
----------
The Points:
Colonel creachy - 8 points (Bayer Leverkusen result & score; Germinal Beeschot scorer & 1st scorer; RBC Roosedndaal result & score)
Egon - 6 points (Bayer Leverkusen result & score; RBC Roosedndaal result & score)

Fair enough GD but I must have misread the O in P Hansson although we both choice A Hanssen should have known better that A Hansen never scored.
