I was hoping for something fairly simple this week.
Bayer Leverkusen 2 - 0 Eintracht Frankfurt - Berbatov
Germinal Beerschot 1 - 2 Anderlecht - Mpenza
St.Etienne 0 - 2 Nice - Traore
RBC Roosedndaal 0-1 Heerenveen - Huntelaar
Denizlispor 1 - 1 Besiktas - Kratochvil
I'm afraid this is mainly guesswork - still thats never been a problem in the past.

I think GD needs to specify which Hanssen for Heerenveen he is expecting to score.

Now here's an interesting problem for The Management.
Having posted my predictions, I started to look up the times when the games were being played, and couldn't understand why I couldn't find the Germinal Beerschot-Anderlecht game in the fixture lists. Then I found out why: the game was played earlier this (Friday) evening!
Result: Germinal Beerschot 2-0 Anderlecht (CAVENS - both goals) A report on the game can be found here: http://www.anderlecht-online.be/article.php?id=3901&lang=eng&from=home
The only FF players to predict Beerschot's win were summerbayexile and... GreyDesk. So over to you, GD - will you claim those points, even though the game was played well before the deadline for predictions?

Well let's be fair to Desky (**ungrits teeth** God, that was hard to say).
He did predict the match before it was played. Although anyone posting from hereon should definitely not be allowed any points. And GreyDesk should not post anything from the Dutch League again.

That game was *definitely* down as being a Saturday fixture when I picked it from the list as per the BBC's Belgiam fixture list - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/belgium_results/fixtures/default.stm
Of course back then it read something more like:
Saturday, 28 January 2006
Cercle Brugge v AA Gent, 19:00
Excelsior Mouscron v Charleroi, 19:00
FC Brussels v Lokeren, 19:00
Genk v Westerlo, 19:00
Germinal Beerschot v Anderlecht, 20:00
La Louviere v Zulte-Waregem, 19:00
Lierse v Beveren, 19:00
St.-Truidense v Standard Liege, 17:00
I went down that list looking for something that appealed, and frankly, if your team's name is "Beer Shot" then you're in!.
As to what I'm going to do about anyone posting their selection after this revelation about a changed schedule / initial error in the Beeb's information.
Hmmm... not sure.
Tough Shit I think is the approach that I'm going to favour.

Oh b*m - flu kept me from my computer (in bed for a couple of days). Any chance the panel deliberated on that selection?

"The Town hall of St Etienne emitted a local by-law following the falls of snow being cut down on the area and taking into account the bulletin of Weather France. In consequence, and after the downstream of delegated meeting Mr. Prudhon, the match ADZE - Nice envisaged this evening with 20h with Geoffroy Guicard is given to a later date. This meeting will be reprogrammed on a soon definite later date by the Commission of Organization of the Competitions of the LFP. The players of Gym, arrived yesterday at St Etienne, will regain in the plane the Riviera as of this midday."
I think that means St.Etienne game is off.
Key: Complain about this post
