A Conversation for FANTASY FOOTBALL - Season 15 - "The Final Run In"
FF15 - Week Four
GreyDesk Started conversation Jan 21, 2006
I was going to do the FA Cup round 4 for this week. But then I changed my mind and thought I'd be a bit of a bastard instead.
We're going round Europe this week
Bayer Leverkusen v Eintracht Frankfurt
Germinal Beerschot v Anderlecht
St.Etienne v Nice
RBC Roosedndaal v Heerenveen
Denizlispor v Besiktas
All selections to be in by lunchtime on Saturday, 28th January
And just to show that I'm not a complete sod. Here are some links for you (I just hope your language skills are up to the task )

I think I must have had some germinal beerschots when I went out for a with my mates at Christmas. I felt in' awful in the morning.

Well with a name like that they *had* to be included in the list. Even though the table will tell you that the game should be a gimme for Anderlecht.

Erm, I think i'll request a pools panel verdict this week due to my complete lack of faith in my knowledge of anything remotely foreign

GreyDesk Posted Jan 23, 2006
I feel I should point out that the Pools Panel is really there for people who *physically* can't post a selection. It's not designed to help people who merely don't know what they're doing, and the results you get out of it if you go down that route creachy might reflect that fact

" It's not designed to help people who merely don't know what they're doing"
Indeed. Otherwise I'd have been using it for years.
Thanks for signing me up, Desk. If only I'd remembered to subscribe to the page in time to catch Week 3.

I should also point out that all of the games were selected based upon informaton available on the bbc.co.uk football pages. And on those pages you'll also find league tables and past results, so you really don't need to go very far to make an informed selection.

Hey, don't feel too bad, it's nice to have a challenge in looking it all up - should be a better spread of points I reckon

Ormondroyd Posted Jan 27, 2006
I've had great fun running some pages from the clubs' websites through the Alta Vista Babel automatic translator. I particularly liked this surreal account of the second half of Nice's win over Paris SG: 'Without being transcendent, the red and black are most voluntary and undertaking during this second time.'
Key: Complain about this post
