now the teddy hippo could of course crunch the teddy croc .. but that's normal

They are located in two different countries divided by the baltic sea. Probably a good thing

.. hippos and crocs are good swimmers .. not in salty water though

Probably not in that cold water either.
By the looks of it I am not going to get into the sea this year. The water won't get any warmer than 15-16C and the nights are getting colder and longer.

The way things are going I may have to migrate south with the birds

.. I have seen lots of sea this year .. from 10.000 feet and through a tiny window

I've even been on a beach, even twice. Both times the water was less than 10C.

Same here, haven't been in the water yet

But there is still hope

Soon the kids will be back in school and summer will surely return then

I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Toes as well, just in case.

headaches, aching fingers and twisted toes ..

It's uncommonly cold here now. And raining. Again

still raining but it's been worse

Large parts of the summerhouse area on the southern part of my island is flooded because nobody felt responsible for clearing the canals of seaweed

People pump rain water into the sewers which are not built to transport these amounts - so now the area is flooded in both rain and - well, you know

And I just received a mail telling me the municipality subsidizes fascines in you garden. Ha! It would be like digging a hole in the Baltic Sea

.. good pl*n .. a hole in the Baltic Sea when shall we start digging? and where exactly?
