Vroom:
Nice to meet a kid with a vocabulary and a knowledge of grammar for a change. I'll pop round to your homepage and see what else you've got on offer - writing wise. Maybe you've written something we can use in <./>AGGGAG</.>
Oh, and from experience, let me tell you that if you spent a weekend in a mental hospital worrying about what you might be missing out on over the weekend, you aren't crazy. It's only when you lose all sense of time and become totally absorbed in self, abandoning all thoughts of 'others' and 'elsewheres' that you cross the line to crazy.
Like any trip to anywhere, it's just another interesting place to visit, but ya don't wanna live there.
Especially on the weekends.

The Dragonlady~There are no ugly women in the world, only neglected ones! Posted Sep 4, 2002
The reason I looked at this site in the first place, was because it offered a "Peer Review" section. I have wanted to become an honest to goodness, "real" writer, for as long as I can remember. (Besides, life here, at home, is always giving me terrific material. Like getting my "fixed", yesterday. What an interesting experience!)
The two difficulties I have with this concept are..... 1. I do not have much time to spend writing, and....2. I do not quite understand the submission process, and the brain power it sometimes takes to wrap my (supposed) intelligence around some concepts, is often being used to simply decide how to handle it when my neighbors shoot my house.
But, it's great having the opportunity to meet such wonderful people, and for simply having access to the opportunity for a Peer Review. I'm sure that I will eventually get the time to write something.
Keep in touch
Karen

What an incredible story!
I admire your strength, courage, and perseverance.
Life in the "Loony Bin" probably isn't as interesting as life in "Hillbillyville", with so many children, and our lovely neighbors.
Take pride in yourself! You seem to have a good grasp on reality, while being able to maintain a healthy sense of humor.

By the way, I posted a reply to you at ~jwf~'s reply to your posting. I wasn't paying attention, so got the wrong message. ~jwf~ intended it for you, not me, and you should consider writing something. You're good!

No problem there Dragonlady m'dear.
"Vroom" certainly does seem bright (well at least articulate) for a 15 year old doesn't he!
And yes, there's more to h2g2 than Peer Review. There are several other 'groups' and 'clubs' and 'associations' that exchange ideas and look for 'entries' and 'articles' to be written. And plenty of conversations on hundreds (thousands) of topics.
<./>AGGGAG</.> is always looking for interesting entries and articles that don't meet Peer Review's writing guidelines for acceptance into the "Editted Guide". These guidelines exclude (among other things) all first personal accounts. So AggGag, in our 'contrary' way, likes stories that say 'I did this' and 'I did that', such as your impressions and feeling about getting your dog fixed. We want to hear about people's personal experiences in their own words, not an encyclopaedic treatise on "How To Fix A Broken Dog".
So, if you get it written we'll feature it.
peace
