re: picture 3 - the one of Amy, Doctor and River in front of the TARDIS? Looks more like he is studying River's bum to me!
Re: The looks different in all those pics.
It is, they seem to have revamped it. I wanna know what the interior is going to be like. It would also fit in with some of what I think might happen in the regen finale.

ah, well, I have a sort of theory on that, but we shall see.
Oh bob, I've just realised how y that is

Jozcoz Posted Aug 5, 2009
My friends has suggested that the "current"TARDIS interior doesn't look very good in HD, which would explain why we haven't seen it since The Next Doctor (the last one to not be shot in HD). Therefore, a re-design would seem fairly appropriate

Well, if the exterior is going to be like the original one maybe they're going retro for the interior too!

Perhaps we'll get the fault locater and the food machine back! The 11th Doctor could always do a 4th Doctor and use the secondary control room.
Apparently, the weeping angels from Blink are back next season.

"Apparently, the weeping angels from Blink are back next season."
I'm not sure whether I like that idea. Loved Blink, just not sure whether you water down the potency by rehashing a story

David B - Singing Librarian Owl Posted Aug 6, 2009
Agreed. I thought Blink was absolutely brilliant, and any other story using those monsters would surely be very weak in comparison, even if it was a generally good episode.

Don't blink!!!
Wonder why the Doc changed the control room from white to the brown interior? Maybe it was damaged in the Time War.
Sorry, I'm babbling.

some piccies surfacing on the web of Matt Smith's first season - oddly lots of people are calling it season 1
Apparently some Croatian photographer was taking piccies round his town when he stumbled across them filming. Didn;t realise what Doctor Who was and put some of the piccies up and then got absolutely flooded with hits as the hordes descended! Nothing too spoilerish in them and easy to find if you want to.
There's also a couple of theme spoilers out there for the new series too - ie historical characters being visited.

'Series One' is just the way the new production team is terming things. It's not a reboot, or throwing out the history, it's just a way for them to address their plans.

"It's not a reboot"
Well, not in BSG/Star Trek movie kinda way it isn't.
But I wouldn't go so far as to say the phrase 'reboot' couldn;t be applied to it in other ways.
What I thought odd about season 1 is that it doesn't seem to relate to the story at all, but rather the first season of the new production team. That seems rather odd to me.

van-smeiter Posted Dec 9, 2009
Christopher Eccleston's run was series 1 rather than season 27 so I can see where they're coming from. I suspect the 11th Doctor's DVDs will be released as series 5. It also occurred to me that the TARDIS revamp is probably due to them filming the new season in HD.

IctoanAWEWawi Posted Dec 9, 2009
There is an element of the HD filming in it yes, or so I understand.
But it also ties in with the story they're going with.

Weeping angels at 13seconds and later on...please don't mess it up in the 1st season...they were superb and really will have to be good for another story line with them.
Some close up shots with daleks it seems too.

Bright Blue Shorts Posted Jan 1, 2010
If you watch carefully at 25 secs where the soldiers are backing away down the tunnel, they lights go out, flicker and you seem the angels in the same tunnel, followed by another flicker of lights, then one close up.

Very interesting -- seems he won't be an *inactive* Doctor, at any rate!

Alfster Posted Jan 2, 2010
Yes, I think we are going to have a more 'old-style' punchy Dr than the RTD ones.
Also, the worry that Matt Smith is too young to play the Dr doesn't come across in those shots, his Dr looks like he walks with a purpose. Even Stephen Moffat has said William Hartnell was too young to play the Dr. When you have someone who is 900years old then any actor of human age is basically the same age.
Key: Complain about this post
