Spoilers for next season with Matt Smith

Titles are correct. Spoilers indicate a single cyberman so far (although poss also an original one). Looks like we're one or two of many different enemies. Quite what they are all up to is so far not particularly clear.
On the Vincent episode - bit I particularly noticed was what appeared to be a burning something on the outside of the TARDIS in shots towards the end. Not a major size, but deffo there.

I thought the burning stuff was just the flyers/paper that had been wrapped around the TARDIS back in Vincent's ear. Otherwise where did *that* go to?

I thought that was just the last of the posters that it was covered in burning off. Was there something interesting on the poster that I missed?

Regarding the returning cyberman: when Ecelleston's Doctor saw the head of a cyberman he said, I think, "What happened to you?"
Which suggests that the Doctor in his Tardis doesn't know.
Actually, that appears to be a recurring point. Both Prisoner Zero and Angel Bob said it, and the Doctor echoed it in Amy's Choice "I don't know everything. Why do people always think I know everything?"
Makes you think that there may be something really important that the Doctor does not yet know.

In the trailer there are three bits; a Cyberman's head, a single Cyberman and lots of Cybermen. They're all "new" Cybermen but that isn't to say whether they're from our universe or Jake's universe. The Cyberman head in Van Staten's museum was an "old" Cyberman head.
I can't believe the iDaleks won't be back soon but it would be more shocking for them *not* to be in a season finale and I would like to think that SM would take that different route from RTD.
I think the Cybermen bits are the only parts of the trailer that haven't appeared yet (apart form a few from this saturday's ep with Mr Corden.)

Watched it again. We haven't seen: the Doctor, Amy and River carrying flaming torches; Cyberman picking up a Cyberman head; Stonehenge; a Cyberman [quickly followed by] Amy swinging a flaming torch as if to ward off a Cyberman; Roman soldiers; the Doctor (and Amy?) riding on horses; a Cyberman with several Cybermen in the background.
These aren't even spoilers because it was all broadcast at the end of episode one but I thought it was worth sharing.

I've got nothing against spoilers hence why I read this thread but ... do bear in mind that some people deliberately avoid those "Next time" bits ... and actually despite having watched that ep1 "Coming up" trailer I'd completely forgotten there are any Cybermen due in ...

Roman soldiers;
the Doctor (and Amy?) riding on horses;
a Cyberman with several Cybermen in the background.
all in the final two parter from the photos I've seen. Although so far only 1 cyberman (picking up the head) has shown up.
One of the Roman soldiers is Rory. Go figure.

oh, and iDaleks (at least 2 of them, poss 3) are in there as well.
Plus the iDaleks are central to the first 'extra episode' Doctor Who game (and they do actually feel like extra episodes. Interactive stories really).

hit send too soon.
In the computer game (first one) we also get a Dalek Emperor seemingly in charge of the iDaleks.

had a thought. No one has mentioned Zygons for a while. Wasn't there some rumour about them this series?
Mind you, if there was one, would we have noticed it?

van-smeiter Posted Jun 10, 2010
That rumour could have been started by me! I've wanted the Zygons to come back for ages but you're right that we wouldn't necessarily know if we *had* seen a Zygon. I'm hoping for a Zygon christmas.
The rumour I tried to start (that never caught on) was that Amelia's aunt was the Rani!

hmmm.
This fella:
http://www.uk.castingcallpro.com/view.php?uid=212770&position=5&page=1
has a profile saying he is playing the role of 'Red Man' in the finale eps.
IMDB does not have that role.
But rather more interestingly his profile shows that he played 'Red Man' in 'The End of Time'.
What i can't work out is whether 'Red Man' is a generic role title or a specific role that is being reprised for the finale?
Also can't work out who he was in The End Of Time, doesn't seem to appear on any official lists for the ep.

Geggs Posted Jun 11, 2010
Back the looks of it he is also credited with 'City Gentleman' in 'The Beast Below'.
Where they half human/half Smiler things? Or was he just someone in the background?

yeah, seems to have done a couple of smaller parts.
Just intrigued that the 'Red Man' role appeared in previous who, not many characters have been carried over so wondering if it is just a generic role name rather than a specific character we'd remember.

Ah!
Could be one of these fellas

In the bar at the end, apparently also seen in The Motorway.
So just a background generic alien character then, I guess.

I noticed that Hartnell's face turned up again in this week's ep, as well as all the others. And didn't the defeated Tardis from this ep turn up in the preview for next week's? Or a ship looking very much like it at least. Oh, and another mention of perception fields.
There's the suggestion from the trailer that the baddies are all turning up (in Roman Britian?) because the Pandorica is opening, rather than them coming out of it. So what does come out of it? I'm guessing either the Doctor (possibly with Hartnell's face) or the Rani.

oooh, very spoilery art

and in particular

(note the text written down the right hand side of the left hand page right on the fold)
although not as spoilery as the concept art piccies for the Pandorica!

Surely that text is more of a reference to how the Doctor describes himself at the end of Water of Mars? It doesn't seem particular surprising.
