in the air today, I feel so thrilled to be part of it!
I may have added to the hootoo publicity, cos I've posted a direct link to the bbc news page which has emails from those in Canberra still able to get to them.
I've just sent an email to it from those on hootoo who are worried about Moose, mentioned hootoo (gently!): so if the "powers that be" want to do a double plug....

It is difficult to explain hootoo. Even to some DNA fans. During a lab in class an instructor laughed at my naming a folder on one of the servers "vogon poetry" and we talked DNA after class. I told him about hootoo and he still didn't get it. Thought it was a fan site or something. Hope he read the Doors site...

My mum *still* doesn't get the idea of it, and *still* insists on saying "It's for people who like Douglas Adams", despite the many times I've over-simplified it to "It's an online encyclopaedia that members of the public write".
Having said that, she retired from the Civil Service last Autumn and I probably couldn't tell you accurately what she did there either.
