The only reason I was awake early is because I'm *still* suffering from jetlag.

Genetic as in your kids?

Lady Scott Posted Jan 13, 2003
Genetic as in my father used to always pop out of bed around 5:30 am. Mom insists he used to lie there awake just waiting for the clock to hit 5:30 so he could get up.
But my early rising seems to be all over the place lately. Some mornings I'm up at 4 am, others I sleep until after 6am, or anything in between.

Sometimes I don't get out of bed 'till 9!

I wish I was able to get up really early, to watch the sun rising over the hills and enjoy God's green earth at a time when most students are asleep/unconcious. Ahh the blistfull silence...

I saw a sunrise once.

I used to get up for sunrise services
every Easter. There was a high hill above the
church, and a group of us early risers
would trudge to the top of it for a service.
I moved away from that town many years ago.
I don't know if they still do sunrise services.
The only part that I liked was the pancake
breakfast that was served in the church afterwards.

When I came back from my holiday I saw a sunrise over the wing of a DC-10. Really pretty.

*I* didn't name her Shorty+. It was a nickname that Amy+ gave her back when due to the age difference between them, Amy+ was a lot taller than Shorty+, but now the tables have been turned because Shorty+ is actually an inch or so taller than Amy+.

I saw a lot of sunsets last summer.

Lady Scott Posted Jan 21, 2003
In other words, you don't get up early enough to see a sunrise?

You mean there actually are sunrises, Lady Scott?
I've seen so few of them that I just naturally
assumed most of them were figments of people's
imaginations. Or maybe a conspiracy hatched by
the people who get up a lot earlier than I do.
