Forget about all what the media is saying and let's think rationally together. Let's first agree that the attack on NY and DC was very well planned and organized by SMART people who knew how and here to hit in order to hurt! Then, let's follow the FBI investigation.
Do you think that those smart people who planned the attack are SO STUPID to use their real names in booking the flight tickets and renting cars?
(all 18 names are of Muslims with Arabic origin)
Obviously, the answer is NO.
Do you think that the attackers were so stupid to leave behind them cars and suit cases full of Arabic manuals and videotapes teaching how to fly commertial flights?
Of course, the answer is NO.
That leads us to the next question: Who is suffering the most after the victims? families and friends?
Obviously, the answer is the Arab-Americans who are being harassed everywhere in the U.S. as well as Muslims and abs through out the world.
Who did benefit the most from this crisis situation?
The answer is: ISRAEL The attack managed to unify all Americans and the whole world against Muslims/Arabs and Islam in general. The attack managed to silences all voices asking Israel to stop their terrorism against the Palestinians. The whole world got shocked with the attack leaving Israel free to torture Palestinians without anyone hearing or seeing or objecting!!
If you add it all up, you'll see the hands of "al Mussed" the Israeli Intelligence Services behind the attack. They have the resources required to carry out such an attack and to cover it up with all those false leads. The question now is, Would the FBI continue the investigation all the Way to the end until they find the hands and minds behind the attack or are they going to stop upon identifying all those names of Arabs and link them to Bin-Laden and then push to destroy Afghanistan?
Unfortunately, the Americans have no willingness or appetite to discover anybody behind the attack other than Bin-Laden and the Islam (we didn't forget the investigation of Egyptair 1990)! Now, how can we let the whole world think rationally that way and not jump to false conclusions?
I read a news that In WTC, there are more than 4000 Israeli workers work. The day that event happened, NO BODY was there out of these 4000 persons! Does it tell the story?????

Keep in mind that only about 22,000 people were present out of the 50,000 employed there; most of the missing employees were on the way there to go to work when the first plane hit.

Why don't you peddle your paranoid propaganda somewhere else? I don't think anyone around here is dumb enough to buy it.

So we are stupid? Let's review.

1. Using their own names... They were on a suicide mission, why would they care if anyone knew their name. Maybe so they could show the whole world how powerful they were as a group and as individuals? People who do these sort of acts think that everyone else is too stupid to figure out what happened, so the ultimate ego trip and what made the act worth it, was that the world would know that it was these "nobodies" who wiped out the WTC.

2. Ditto about leaving their stuff about. Why should they destroy it when they wanted the world to know just how easy it was to commit such an atrocity?

3. Who is suffering the most? Anyone who values human life. The only people harrassing Arab-Americans and Muslims are the goons who are too stupid to recognize their own mothers without their teeth in.

4. Who benefits? No one.

5. Why would Israel attack their protector? Why, after a cease fire, was the first person killed an Israeli woman? Now you are accusing the Israeli people of killing their own people?

There will be benefits. Good and evil comes from all things. We just have a lot of evil stuff here.

On the plus side, the nation is more united. Israel and Palestine are trying to settle their differences. Military contractors will probably make a lot of money. I have several career opportunities because of the attack. The amount they're paying Air Marshals is spectacular. If I am recalled to active duty, the interest rate on my debt is reduced to 7%.

Good things result from even the most terrible acts.

And air travel has been cut by a fair amount, dramatically reducing pollution. I'd have preferred to have this achieved by levying tax on airport fuel to be honest, but everything helps...

Posting 1 and posting 8 are the most ridiculous pack of lies, exaggerations, misinformation and paranoid fantasies I've ever seen on h2g2. What's worse, they mix in a small amount of truth and a few extremely biased facts in order to give a semblance of credibility.

Its not worth dignifying this monstrosity with a full response. Besides, anyone who believes this racist garbage is not going to be swayed by rational arguments. But if you believe there may be some truth to his or her completely one sided and distorted view of reality, then I have a few suggestions. And you don't have to go far... most of this is available on mainstream news sites.

Read what GW Bush said today about the official US policy in regards to the formation of a palestinian state. Read about american support to palestine- in the form of governmental support, NGOs, corporations and so on. Find out how much money the US gives to Egypt every year.

Read about the history of attempted and failed peace agreements between Israel and the palestinians.

Read what the Saudi government have said about stolen and falsified aliases that the terrorists used.

Read about the rights of arabs and all other nonJews in Israel. Find out how many nonJews are members of the Knesset. Find out what arab Israelis think about the Palestinian Intifada.

And find out what the political mix is in Israel. Find out what proportion of the Israeli population support more palestinian rights, think the current government is too rightwing, and are in favor of abandoning the settlements in palestinian areas.

I can assure you that some of this won't paint Israel in a positive light. But it will show beyond a doubt that the situation is complicated, that the majority would like a reasonable peace agreement, that the US is not completely one-sided, and that there is a real opportunity for peace and freedom in the area. But more than anything else, it will show that the previous posts were peddling dangerous extremist propaganda.

Why has no-one 'yiksed' this message? One posting from this person is bad enough, and as it was well and truly rubished by everyone, fair enough, but now they are back with their nasty racial slurs, and I am yikesing it right... now.

This whole idea is stupid, but does raise the once useful question: Who benefits?

Not any governments in the middle east / southern asia that's for sure, they're all a whole lot less stable than they have been in a long while now. But there are plenty of terror and hate groups throughout the middle east who having been waiting a long time for their local governments to become unstable so they might take a greater hold in their countries, who knows perhaps even take control.

The only ones to benefit from further war in the middle east are right wing terrorist groups. I can't see Israel supporting that can you? The attacks were an act of provokation, and if the US or anyone else rises to that provokation unwisely, we play into their hands.

Who benefits is a good question Autist, and was answered in part by a leading Islamic leader who pointed to the rich and ambitious in the Islamic world who "live like Pashas, but deny the benefits of the modern world to their people." He also stated his disapproval of extremist supported states (and would be states) who use their own people as "expendable weapons of war".

A group of Israeli and Palestinian children in a recent joint school project of reconciliation were forced to abandon their efforts due to the Palestinian children's fear of reprisals and villification from their own people. Am American missionary twice weekly risks his life to transport sick Palestinian children to the Wolfson Hospital in Holon which is in Israel.

The Intifada has crippled the economy of the Palestinian Territories, but the leaders care only for their own ambitions.

Incidentally Researcher 185183 I was unfortuante enough to read the very first posting you made to these forums, which was far more vitriolic than the current sanitised versions.

Why is it so difficult to make peace and friendship with your semitic brothers in Israel? Why not ask your unmindful masters.

It's so easy to fall into shorthand when discussing such things, and in some ways it is necissary, but i'd just like to point out a false suggestion of my own in my previous post.

Where i may have seemed to suggest that the whole of the Jewish population in Israel were actively pursuing the persecution of the Palestinians. What i meant to suggest was that the historic fears of many ordinary Israilis have been twisted towards Islam by their unmindful masters who are actively pursuing this regional inequality for their own various ends.

It is a shame also that the Islamic world have so quickly abandoned their brothers. Arabs and Jews are both of the semetic race, they are essentially the same people, and Islam has always stood beside Jews as people of the book, even during WWII occupied Islamic states refused to conduct pogroms against their neighbours, unlike the "guilty" nations of Europe.

But the Arabs having had the betrayals by Britian, France and America exposed between the wars when the Soviets revealed the Tsars middle east treaties and the deals with the puppet royal houses, and then the betrayal of the Allies war promises after WWII and the aparent institution of a new regional policeman in the form of Israel, the Arabs seemed to forget their long history of tolerance.

Understandable, but very unfortunately, for it is their strongest card, until recently they have been nothing but the injurerd and honorable party. And now they are the worm that turned.

Its me again

I think you should refrain from trying to blame Palestinians for what is going on in that part of the world. To be fair, let it be known that both sides carry a measure of responsibility in this conflict. The rest is of course by me and you who are not there.

To my knowledge, most of the people on the streets would care less who was leading where if they had they daily needs adequately catered for. And Israelis and Palestinians on the streets am sure want peace in their neighbourhoods. Leaders the world over are manufacturers of evil and polarisation. Even in Norway, yes Norway!

But when we start pointing fingers from the "safety" of our computers....... we join them in bolstering the polarisation.

I would rather suggest that we maintain our poise as debaters of ideas and analyse, rejecting some with a dubb of proof and accepting others with modifications. As for vitriol........ it goes against the spirit of H2G2.

Peace
