HOW CAN YOU BATTLE AN ENEMY WHO HAS NO VALUE FOR HIS OWN OR OTHERS LIFE??

How can yu fight an enemy who not only isn't afraid of death but is longing for it?

The solution is though. The recieving party let it be the US., Israel, Russia etc. must be willing to take harsh methodes to use.

What does a terrorist care most about? - His people and the honor.

It should be communicated to all potential terrorist that does he/her decide to take their life in a terrorist action, the retaliation will be on their FAMILY! Which results in that it is not only his/her own life his is taking, but his mother, father, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister and so on.

This is a though solution. But consider the alternative - a lot of martyr's...

I'm a peace loving citizen, but I against the wall and so are we all!

Why is it so hard to believe that it was only done by Arabs? Try this one:

Osama bin Laden is said to be worth US$250 million. Is it not feasible that he could have paid for:

-the training of 8 people as Airline pilots? Once fully trained they would have joined a team with 2 to 4 other men.

-the training of this team in, what they would term, crowd control and how to over power a plane.

-20 or so airline tickets for the planes that were involved.

-Knives don't have to be metal. I have seen toughened plastic knives slice in to meat like a hot knife through butter.

-Garrotting can be done using fishing wire

The last part of the equation is brain washing. These men, like many young Palestinians are taught to believe that it is the word of Allah to rid the evil from the holy land. Basically move America out of Saudia Arabia. The Fatawah issued by bin Laden in 98 does not differentiate between civilian or military westerns. In the eyes of the Islamic fundamentalist we are all the same. These men would believe that they would go to a better place in heaven after this courageous act. I doubt that the even brole sweat!

I believe that Osama bin Laden ('arabs' as you put it) are completely capable of this act.

I still hold that it is far too early for anyone to engage in the sort of speculation that seek to apportion blame to *any* group.

Let's just hope that this doesn't esculate into more tradgedy.

As much as we all sympathise with all Americans over this atrocity, will they ever understand that the IRA have done this to we 'Brits' repeatedly since 1916, and especially over the last 35 years. A lot of their funds came from America.....do the people who funded them understand that all terrorism against any democracy must be outlawed, or are they going to continue their donations ???

After this dreadful act of wanton destruction, which fell so far outside of my experience of "how the world works", I fear for what might happen next. I hope that Bush will be able to gather information before any action is taken and not run around like a dog stung by a wasp, biting everyone in the vicinity

Any ideology that advocates death as a means of delivering a political message is not one I care to associate with.



I've heard some interesting speculation about the targets of the four planes. Rumor has it that the plane that crashed into the Pentagon was originally intended for the White House. Some say that the hijackers missed the White House, and headed for the Pentagon instead; others are saying that they found out that Bush wasn't in Washington at all, and decided to take out the Pentagon instead. If he had been in the White House, and had been evacuated, then he would have been flown to Camp David, which is where they're saying the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania was headed.

Recently I heard the story of the stewardess who managed to get a 911 phone call through... She was able to give the seat number of one of the hijackers to EMS. They found his car at the Boston airport, and several flight manuals in Arabic inside.
