Hi Kerr - sorry to have missed your post. You have the honour of being the final member to join th SBVM, because I'm closing it down. As someone said at the meet - these things have a natural lifecycle, and I think the Minority has just hit that...
Besides, we were becoming almost establishment...

Hmpf! At first I was *very* about the idea of closing the SBVM. But I can see the reason behind it. The Eds and the Community seem to have out-grown the need for an 'organistion' like the SBVM.
But I very much like the concept and the room for talking to the people who make up the SBVM as I know them to be of sound mind and able to discuss things in a civilised manner while at the same time taking a genuin interst in the future wellbeing of h2g2. And I would hate to lose that forum.
Thus may I suggest closing this page (*not* deleting it, but doing no further updates on it) and opening the TITS-Club with nice comfy sofas and a decent fireplace? It would shift the SBVM from a cave-dwelling guerillia to an exclusive discussion society where the members discuss more or less important issues.

I won't delete the page, but I will do a final update and leave it be, as suggested. Maybe GTB can do some 'h2g2 history' on it - I dunno.
There are loads of places to chat, so I don't really see the point in another one. But then again, if you feel like it, feel free...

Nice update of the page! (the battle marks seem to have been lost on the way though.)
I think I'll open a TITS-Club one of these days. Maybe I'll see you there...

Err, yes they do.. What happened there then? I was very proud of my angel (for all of the 15secs I got to wear it )

Well, I figured they'd date, and then someone might ask me to update them, so I vaped 'em
Plus, I'm sure KerrAvon should lose her angel for conduct unbecoming to a starship officer...

I'd prefer to keep them (Maybe in a seperate entry?)...
They are a part of the SBVM's history, same as this entry and the threads and ...
They show that the SBVM has/had all sorts of members.
But if you don't want it on here, I'd 'host' the list in a entry of it's own, just for rememberance sake .
The TITS Club is here, BTW A791426. Hope you like it.

Sigh. This reminds me -- today at work, I saw an ad on the cover of Back Stage (newspaper for actors) using the old photo of Che Guevarra to sell something "revolutionary." Probably pagers or an answering service. I felt sad, wondered if I should feel guilty for misappropriating his image as the two-headed Zaphodista symbol.
We should have seen this coming when Peta gave us that name that is so much catchier than "SBVM."

Good to see that we can still blame anything on the Italics!

That's not how I remember it. I remember Peta posting random abuse here, and everyone gleefully taking it up before she could self-edit...
Cheer up Deidzoeb - there will be other revolutions. Watch this space...

Darnit, now I'll have to search back for the first hint of TITS in an SBVM discussion. Was it one of these threads, or some distant thread that happened to be overloaded with SBVM as participants?

Lucinda,
I thought you were exaggerating about Peta intending insult when she called us "tits," but now I realize that the word might mean something different to y'all. In the States, we're much more concerned about the word applied to breasts than to people. Normally the only people who would call a person "tit" in the US would be a foreigner, so it's a minor insult here.
The discussion over at the "New SBVM" got me thinking. I guess I'm going to be like one of those Japanese soldiers hiding out on a Pacific island who didn't find out the war was over until many years later. ...Or refused to believe that he should stop fighting.
