I've made it safely back to Yorkshire. I ended up with a spare h2g2 badge, so I gave it to the friendly receptionist at my hotel who I'd seen reading the of 'The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy', together with encouragement to come and take a look at hootoo.

I'll put most of my thoughts on the weekend in this week, but for now I'd just like to say 'it was great'. Thanks to all who helped organise it - although I must add that 2Legs provided the weekend's most worrying moments for me when he started ranting about politics in a *very* loud voice on the Tube after the meet. I thought he was going to get us all sent to Guantanamo Bay!

I was on the tube with 2legs, and I don't remember any politics!

But then I was concentrating very hard on the dodgy egg mayo and cress sandwich I was eating that I purchased from a dodgy 24 hour shop from a dodgy looking man...

Sandwich turned out to be fabulous!

I'm still trying to catch up on the backlog, which is not so easy. Some people are just cleverer than me - you know who you are

I'm contemplating another Gin and Tonic though I'm a bit worried as the first one I had when I got back sent me off to sleep politics? on the tube?

Yes, he could call himself Mister B or something like that, to avoid any confusion.

He doesn't have the time for that, and he's aware of his lack of English, although I think he did quite well. In the end of the day, he'll do what he wants to do anyway.

I think is English is excellent, better than my German anyway.

I'm just pleased that those who came to Kew had a good time. just sorry I couldn't socialise with everyone. As per usual Londson Transport caused problems, but it is for the better. Hope to meet more in the Summer, if I can make it. 16.07/06 is really good for me, but that is a long way hence.
