It stands for "Nowhere 2 Go 2" - one of the BBS systems set up during "Rupert" to give researchers a place to meet while the BBC sanitized the Guide.

I can't say that I know many programming languages, but I'm willing to learn, and that, I think, is one of the main things that makes up a budding programmer.
Researcher Garak
Languages: Fully versed in HTML, Basic DHTML
Others: In the process of learning JavaScript, Interested in learning C/C++
After looking at everyone else's knowledge, what I have listed looks a little pale in comparison, but I hope that it can be put to good use.

Hi! I'm just going to warn you that I'm about to be a bit pedantic, so you might want to cover your eyes, ears, or what ever other senses your species has. Warn! Consider you self warned .
HTML is NOT A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE. It is a MARKUP LANGUAGE.
As I understand it you do not *program* in DHTML as it is merely a standard between HTML, DOM (or BOM?), and javascript/vbscript. Thus, you should more correctly state that you are conversant with Basic Javascript compliant with DHTML.
Plus, one question, how can you be conversant in Basic DHTML, yet still be learning JavaScript???
It does look a little pale doesn't it? Umm.
Who cares. Just ignore the above and i'll just hide in my cave.
*feels a bit ashamed at going off the deep end*

But you didn't say anything that wasn't true...
Now PHP, that's a programming language for the web...

Yeah, but it was a bit un-acely and a bit unusual for me.

Well, It is true that a lot of stuff listed under languages is not actually programming languages but markup languages, or script languages.
This is one of the reasons the title is Languages and not Programming Languages.
And it is the reight place to get help with those too, because programmers feel more natural about markup and scripts then other users.
Also, we welcome everybody here .
And it's OK to freak out sometimes Spelugx, even if you are an ace. People will keep writing markup langs as their languages anyway, mainly because they won't read the backlog, and therefore won't see this hideous (kidding) post
You may repost (more polite) versions of it in the future.

Oh, hi there, I heard about you ,
and I don't see any reason to it, Everybody is entitled to say what they want, and everybody else is allowed to bark at them for doing so

What do you want written? I mean languages, platforms, interests etc.
Who do you want to sign up? (Lucinda/MyRedDice/Martin/myre/Xanthia)
BTW, I wanted to ask but never did, why is myre not capitalised?

Languages - Java, C++, VB, but interested in various weird languages like Intercal and such
Platforms - mainly windows at the moment
Interests - AI, and games too sometimes
Who? Well, Martin's the programmer, but sign us up together - we like to join things together - one for all and that kinda thing...
myre's not capitalised because... well, she's a little shy... not really the self-publicising kind of fairy, you know?
