Where No One Has Gone Before
Ever since the human race first looked up at those small specks of light in the night sky, the urge to explore, to strive to be more than they are, has been there. Since then, this drive to boldly go has been visualized in many strange, intriguing, and fantastic ways. In the form of books, films, and television, we have explored new worlds, encountered alien races both wonderful and terrifying, and strived to break the boundaries that our imagination lays down before us.
Humanity's first ever steps on the moon were witnessed by millions with a feeling of awe and trepidation. Instead of restricting ourselves to our own planet, we decided to reach out to the stars. Though the road ahead may be rough, the challenges we face both hard and perilous, the people of this small blue marble - Earth - will continue to endeavour until, one day, travel among the stars will be commonplace; and the thought of meeting a race other than our own will no longer be a dream envisioned only in film and writing.
Be our future exploring the galaxy in great starships or elimination by a Vogon constructor fleet, mankind will continue to look to the stars, and to boldly go where no man - where no one - has gone before.
