Holes are nice.
But whaddaya expect to find in'em?
Dinosaurs? No, that's paleozoology or something. Cryptozoology?
Inca treasures?
Egyptian mummies?
Celtic ruins?
WTC-ruins? (Ooops, sorry.)
Another Rosetta-stone?
A skeleton of a guy wearing a hat and a whip?
Stone-age culture or medeival ones?
Ancient scriptures?
Ancient dentures?
Me stop here before somebody - such as me - get hurt.

I worked it out. My brain gave me clues.
It said: you want to be an archaeologist.
I said: do I?
It said: yes.
I said: oh. OK.
Who am I to argue with me?

KimotoCat Posted Oct 30, 2001
Three diverging points:
To argue with one self is a clear symptom of scizophrenia.
To argue with one self is a discipline to sort out inner thoughts, discover a pattern and focus mind.
To argue with one self is - should at least be - a debate where you don't end up feeling that you've lost.
I argue with my humble self on a regular basis, and so far I've felt pretty good about it. Sometimes I let my brain win, but sometimes what my brain suggests is too boring or down right annoying, and then I leave some of the decisions to (in no particular order) my liver, my stomach or my boyfriend.
But generally, I feel quite okay with these debates between me and I.
No, actually sometimes I hate it.
Rather not, it's fun, though rarely challenging.
What do I mean by that? Now I'm offended!
Let go, I wasn't trying to insult me.
Yes I was!
Was not.
Was too!
Was not.
Was - aw, go get coffee.
Okay, I will.
As just demonstrated, arguing with one self, sometimes produces beneficial results. But next time it's my turn to go get the coffee!

Nope.
I watch the X-Files, Dalgliesh, Trigger Happy TV and The Simpsons, but aside from some Danish series, that just about wraps it up.
How can one be without TV in the 21st century? Poor porr thing!

OK, perhaps I didn't *quite* mean that...the college has tv, but getting to watch what you want is anoher story if there's a crowd. I see the Simpsons okay though

I yield and confess - I have never ever watched a single episode of Ally McBeal!
Honestly.

I suppose that the guy got fed up with being arrested on a regular basis...
Speaking of regulars - I'll not be here for a week starting monday; surgery in hospital. No, not to worry, nothing major or dangerous, just jaw-surgery. The worst is that I'll be off-line; no Internet on the ward... Call that a modern health-system! Yuck.
But when I come back, I'll have another five weeks of recooperating and that means lotsa on-line time.

Larryless? Is that "without a character named Larry" or is it some kind of worn, possibly a noun, that I, being a Dane and only a mere English-teacher, has never encountered before?
Please explain.

Clelba Posted Nov 10, 2001
it is, as you originally expected, meaning "without a character named larry"
and that depresses me. but not too much. i can live with it.
