It does?
I switched from goo to alabaster half a year ago and I like it.
I would suggest a third lay-out if I had a say on it, but I probably don't. Goo is somehow more HHGTTG whereas alabaster is more elegant, but they both have some flaws.
I think.
But I suppose the

, the 
and the 
look pretty much the same, alabaster OR goo. Right?

I prefer the way they look in alabaster. Too much like kids' drawings in goo.

I spent seven hours in Classic Goo - but I definitely prefer Alabaster, moreso because of the layout. It's more user-friendly, even though it doesn't look too good.
