Well, I'm glad it's not the 5th anymore in any event...turns out my niece (whose birthday is on Saturday) is having her party on Sunday, because my brother has hijacked the Saturday night for his belated 21st party...so I am booked up all this weekend

I can understand where they're coming from...would they feel more comfortable if they organised picking you up and/or dropping you off?
Have you got a friend or relative that they would feel comfortable going with?
If they want to make sure you're safe, I can always give them my mobile number just for safe keeping or something ?
I can certainly understand why you're parents would be concerned, about going out wiht people they don't know, and a lot of people you would barely know yourself. If there's anything we can do to allay their fears, we'd be more than happy to do it

Ahhh... *points* 16th of December? That way when people start saying "NO! I'm SOO busy that day!" we can go "Earlier or later" and get somewhere.

Coolies. That'll be a Thursday. I only know that because I saw an ad for movie coming out on that day earlier today and movies always come out on Thursdays. *spins around in circles for no real reason*

Well, a Friday night could go later than a Thursday night generally, as those who have to work don't have to get up early the next day Unless, of course, they work on Saturday, or have something else to do on Saturday, which at this time of the year is fairly likely
