I cant stand fresh coriander (the seeds I'm not aware of disliking). it tastes incredibly strong to me and unpleasant. I had a salsa a while ago that I thought had gone off until I realised it was coriander leaf liberally mixed in. Ugh, Coriander and salmon. Two flavours that I dont just dislike, to me they smell and taste like they aren't ok to eat.

Coriander and salmon *is* wrong.
Lime and coriander maybe, on white fish - but the salmon and coriander - yucky.
Tarragon is okay, and fresh dill or chervil are really nice too!

I hope to plant a garden this year. I'm toying with the idea of mixing different kinds of seeds together and planting them. Whatever comes up will come up.

I was thinking of planting carrots, pumpkins, zucchini and beans.

It's all coriander to me
and my daughter hates it after living three months in Vietnam where just about everything is spiced with it

You need to use it judiciously. Mexican food uses a lot of it, but not French. In Indian food, they're more likely to use the seeds rather than the leaves. A lot of lovely curries have coriander seeds in them. Italian food might have some of the leaves in it, but not the seeds. I believe that the leaves can be found in a lot of salsas.

Be proud of your age! Like the rest of us, you probably have amazing
tales to tell about the 1960s and early 1970s. If you don't remember a lot of what happened then, make something up. Who's going to know whether they are true ot not?

I usually do, make things up It's the CRAFT moments, Can't Remember A F'ing Thing. Definately lived through the sixties then.
It's undoubtably why my mind's always going places without me

Cripes It you that lives in my head and gives me a conscience
On no, sorry, that position is already taken by Robyn and she won't leave, no matter how much I beg
Just likes to torture me with her needles under my carapace
No less than I deserve.

You could do worse than have Robyn as your conscience, Nortirascal. Actually, having me instead *would* be worse!
(Just kidding! )

Some one has to do it I'm bad enough as it is
Setting Robyn on me is the intellectual equivalent of the nuclear deterrent for me
Already had a few intellectual
off of her, hence she has so much of my respect.
Vikings don't need consciences Just a fair knowledge of rape and pillage, no wonder the monks and us Brits were so scared of them. I read Hagar in the Sun Newspaper, well I only look at the pictures really
I know what Vikings are all about from that

A lot less rape and pillage than you'd think... Quite a lot of 'let us eat your food and marry your women and we'll just move in peacefully if that's alright with you...'
It's only if you say no that you get into trouble

I would never dare to say "No" to you Navo, perish the thought. It could be extremely dangerous and probably wouldn't work anyway.

I myself was under the impression that the Vikings left the British isles again at some point, but as it turns out both the Anglo-Saxons and the Normanns were all vikings by heritage - and stayed! There is Viking DNA to be found all over the place
I guess this explains why you guys won The Battle of Britain

You'll just start me off with Dads Army jokes again. It just gets me into trouble with the Germans
Cor there's nothing like the sound of a Spitfire in a steep climb, Rolls Royce Merlin engines spluttering as the carburettors struggle under gravity. No boringly efficient fuel injection
