It may not matter to *you*, nor even to your stomach, but think of the poor pig who gave its life so that you could enjoy the . I would like to think that the would want to be consumed with an appropriate beverage.

Grapes are not alive in the same way as pigs. By some methods of reckoning, the grape plant creates a grape with the hope that some animal will desire it enough to take it and eat it, spreading the seeds around and perpetuating the grape family. The pig, by contrast, loses any chance of furthering its family lineage by being eaten.
