Cabin 42 - Linus' bar and bed
Gwennie Posted Oct 5, 2001
I'd always associated the taste of almonds with arsenic...
Still, don't let me interrupt you...carry on!

This is the non-lethal type drink. Would you like one?

Linus...42, i guess that makes me the answer... Posted Oct 5, 2001
Non lethal? That would depend on how many you had.

*Watches Mari sip her drink and cringes*
Yuck!
Ah! So you also have had the McDonald's experience Pierce? I have to drink my coffee black whilst out as most places don't supply soymilk (Or as the recent legislation insists it is now called, "non-dairy alternative to milk"! ), but on the two occasions that I've been foolhardy enough to sample a McDonald's coffee, I've thrown it away in disgust as it actually made me feel sick.
The only reason I give McDonalds my trade is because my hubby likes their thick shakes and is unable to drive past one of the damned places without stopping in to get one. Would this be grounds for divorce, do you think? "Grounds" as in "coffee grounds". It's a joke...get it?

*Pats Gwennie's hand.*
That was truly feeble, dear... but a good effort.
There is an Espresso Shop opening up in my little town. It is something unheard of in this backwater... hope they serve tea as well as coffee. They are displaying works of art, the sign says. I'm hoping they might put up some of my paintings.
BTW, Linus and Gwen.. Here are for each of you! Souveniers from my trip!
Beer towels sporting the name ADNAMS for Linus, and a lovely tea towel for you, Gwennie. It depicts the of East Anglia. Hope you like them!

*Wraps her tea towel around her head, turban style*
Thanks Mari!
There are a couple of coffee shops in Durham, but as the kids weren't interested, I had to take Chris into a pizza parlour instead where he didn't eat any of his food anyway!
*Bangs her head of her monitor*

There! That's better...
The only falling I usually do is when I trip over pets, toys or John's tools and building materials!

This is impressive, Linus: 13 postings in a row without a word of alcohol. Must be a new record, I'm sure.
