Oops, wrong thread...
I was looking for the midsummer tread to see if the g**t is still there. It escaped to the forest some while ago from there...

Other than the slight risk of forest fires, I think the campfire is actually the most environmentally friendly source of heat that currently exists within the public consciousness -- I mean, think about it, what's cleaner than a wood fire? Electric heat, you say? Ha! Consider the vast quantities of pollution put out by most conventional electricity generators.
Gas heat?
Again, Ha!
Consider the pollution (both atmospheric as well as noise and light) produced by the drilling and developing of gas wells -- I'm particularly familiar with this as BP Amoco has been developing dozens of natural gas wells around this area over the past year or so, and it's not a pretty sight, smell, or sound.
So there

Maybe miss D is used to burn car wheels in the campfire?
(What could be the proper word here instead of wheel?)

True. And in a pinch, rubber fumes can give you one of a buzz.
Oh, and brain tumors, too, but that's not strictly relevant.

We burnt some RL trash in my backyard last night. Not very ecological - plasic bags were involved. But then again, they tend to do the same in junkyards.
