I really don't think it's safe to try unsupervised morris dancing without authorisation. Perhaps you should ask deackie? 
PhDs are fun. Everyone should do PhDs. I don't see why I should be the only one to suffer. 
Southampton is big and on the coast, with several campuses (campi?) spread over the city. The university itself is quite highly regarded, or at least my faculty is as we were graded 5* in something or other recently. Excellence in research is what it implies, I think (hey, this was in December, I've had plenty of time to forget since then). I don't know what it's like for a social life as I don't have one, and the accommodation system is incredibly confusing, though postgrads may stay in halls. The rent's quite steep, though.

So, basically, unsupervised morrice dancing is a bad idea, PhDs are horrible so I should do one, and there is as good a place as any?
