you perhaps would be surprised at the social life of a teacher...

Firstly: Anyone who got that 'translation' knew it, so there's nothing more to be said. I'll leave it as a puzzle for those who wander through. Alex, talk to the Colonel if you must have the answer. lol
Secondly: I have some comments/clarifications to make on the subject of teachers and teachers' social lives.
I've taken up the mission of getting to know each of my teachers personally. Not only does this usually result in gaining their trust (and the perks and privledges attendant therunto, if you'll excuse my horrid spelling), but one finds that many teachers actually *do* have lives and are actually very interesting people.
English teachers, specifically, on the other hand . . . let's just say that I haven't had a *single* good English teacher in my *entire* high school career to date. (I am a Junior, for those of you who don't know.)
First, there was the Jerk. Or the Jerko, rather, which rhymed with his name. He was . . . . well . . . a big jerk. I couldn't stand the man, and came close to slapping him on several occasions.
Next was the Wack. Or, similarly, the Wacko, which rhymed with *his* name. He was strange. Very strange. As in not normal. As in several thousand million light years from normal.
This year is . . . . "LANE" . . . otherwise known as "Devil Woman" (not to be confused with "Satan", the orchestra director, lol). Nothing else need be said.
So, anyway, if you're actually still reading this . . . lol . . . I kinda like most of my teachers. They can actually be interesting people.
But, then again, I'm a born and bred Dork. So you might not want to take my word on any of this. lol
Id, feeling rather loquacious tonight

I do not refute that statement . . . I just pointed out that I take it to another level and actually become friends with the teachers on many occasions. Is that such a bad thing? lol
And so what if they're more likely to not care if I walk in late, if they're more likely to let me wander around to my little heart's content without a pass, and if they're more likely to let me hang out in an empty classroom for a period or so and go online when I could be in class (which is what I'm doing right now)? The thing is just not to take advantage of them, which I really couldn't do to the ones I'm friends with, anyway.

Well, you start to gain a bad reputation at school, for one...
*I* certainly never would have thought you'd be *that* type, ID...

Well, even if it started as sucking up it's gone above that, in a good way. I'm honestly good friends with mose of my high school teachers. Barring English teachers, though. lol
Now, if only the kids in my school were as interesting to be around. Ack.

Uhmmmm . . . nope. I cannot drive . . . legally . . . yet. Ahem.
And Theory, I do talk with the Freshmen, and yeah, they're really funny. Why, just today Chen and I were watching two freshmen on the fencing team make silly fools of themselves . . . lol.

hehe
See, I'm kind of an odd ball, I think. I have several freshmen friends. 40% of the time they are foolish and dumb, but they can be interesting and funny.

YAY Tac wins I forgot what we were talking about but yay.....two subjects...don't let my answer make you think I think that teachers have no lives...actualy I new a few with social lives that would shock most of there students....hahaha one's nickname I came to find out at a local ummm club was Frenchie....I got along with most of my teachers and they seemed to all like me...it wasn't about sucking up belive me...I did do a lot of ummm "geeky" things in high school but I had a lot of fun...including many many pranks on certain teachers...never got in toooooo much trouble though...you have to know who you can mess with and who you cannot....but I graduated in 96 so I have been out for a bit....one hint though get involved with charity work...that will get you on more peoples good sides then pretty much anything at school
