and on a different but marginally related topic altogether, does anyone know whatever happened to theory? he's been gone for awhile but i hope he's doing alright. i was thinking maybe someone else here went to school with him.

Theory's doing ok - he's outa town for a while right now.

(I know his mom because she plays piano for the choir at church - the family has gone on an extended trip)

Are there plans for another meet this summer?

Not as far as I know - not so far anyway.


Where would we meet, and when?

Amy's out of the country until July 10, TJ is having nasal surgery, Shea's had all kinds of problems with her wrist and shoulder... Shorty's having eye problems again (hopefully will be all cleared up in a few days though)... I don't know what anyone else's plans are though.

Maybe we could meet in December - I would love to see what Hershey Park is like in that season.

They actually open a small portion of the park for the Christmas season, and we've been many times when the girls were little.

Remember how hot it was in August? There have been times when I thought I would freeze to death at Hershey in December! Last time we went, I realized far too late that I should have worn my long wool coat instead of just my winter jacket!

I don't think there's any roller coasters open then - If you go to the Hershey site, I think it's just the Carousel Circle that's open at that time of year, with just those rides, which are mostly kiddie rides, unfortunately.

On the plus side, the lights are gorgeous there at night, and there's no general admission charge, you just buy a book of tickets to use for individual rides.

last time i was at hershey (not the meet, with choir) i unwittingly paired off with a wuss who was terrified of the log flume and refused to go on any roller coasters. i did, however, get her to go on the pirate ship three times; she wouldn't open her eyes until somewhere in the middle of the third one.

My mother suggests Longwood Gardens, which would only be a trek for Paul and Amy P.

I don't think we'd make a meetup this summer. We're financially and vacation-time deprived this year.

To whoever mentioned it (no, I'm not going to check on who said it), I don't think AmyP will be making any trips east for a long time to come - PaperBaby will be born in a few weeks, and she'll be rather busy after that. Not only that, she's giving up her job after the baby is born to take on full-time mothering, so the finances will be a lot tighter.

There's always next year...

And none of us won the $140 mil either ...

Now what would you do with 140 million dollars?

Maybe you could buy h2g2 from the BBC and deregulate it.

TJ and I actually spent some time deciding what we'd do with the money!

We didn't think about buying h2g2, though ... hmmm .....
