*Vomar realizes that if the room is bugged, he and GL won't be able to converse freely. However, if the room is bugged, continuing the charade certainly wouldn't hurt anything. In other words, another display of some ability wouldn't hurt the situation at all. So without really knowing what's going on, Vomar says the one thing that he gathers probably won't harm the situation*

Garius, I do believe that we're being examined at the moment. What might our unobserved guest want to know, I wonder?

*Notes the brief look of incomprehension on GL's face, causing Vomar to raise his eyebrows in a kind of "Play-Along-Just-In-Case" fashion*

Well, I'm sure they would want further proof of our veracity, or a betrayal of our non-genuineness. Hmmmm. There must be a word for non-genuineness, but I can't think of it. Fake doesn't work in that sentence. Hmmmmm. Must give that some thought.

*shakes head*

But anyway, where were we? Ah yes, what our observers would want. Well, as far as I'm concerned, they can want whatever they, um, want, but I will behave as I feel like. After all, we have seen that we are far more powerful than them and way more technologically advanced. Why, we could leave right now, if we felt like it. Ah, but I must confess that I am curious about their dimensional conquest plans. It will be amusing to calculate just how long it will take them with their primitive technology. We could certainly speed it up for them, but I'm not sure that is the right thing to do. I would need to know what they plan to do once the conquest is complete.

*stops suddenly*

Yes Garius, I shall refrain from bringing up topics of conversation that will cause either of us to speak endlessly. But still, wordplay is one of the few games left to our kind that isn't immediately mastered without a bit of practice, so I encourage it on some level. Perhaps we can ready a few simple riddles for the trip home once we leave this place. After all, as much as they've surprised us this far, I sincerely doubt that they'll be able to even comprehend some of the stuff that we offer.

I mean, just look at this place! Three dimensions? Three? Oh, that's just great. We've got seven. Thousand. I really hope we can wrap up our business here before we're late for our meeting with Steve Meretzky. That's the kind of hyper-intelligent being I wouldn't mind making a deal with!

Oh, there I go, rambling. I should stop as well.

*opens her eyes and struggles in sea's arms demanding to know where spring is then yawns and goes back to sleep*

Ice slowly makes his was down the mountain. As they clear the treeline on the base they can clearly see a beautiful woman standing next to a very expensive car. She is wearing a midnight black robe with the hood thrown back to let the moonlight fall on her face. Her flowing jet black hair blends into her robe as it falls around her face, partilly hiding her eyes. The only adornment is a ceremonial dagger hanging on a small silver chain around her waist. She nods in greeting as Ice walks up and holds the door open for him and his compainions. As Ice steps into the vehicle Liosh circles down and lands on her shoulder. Once Everyone is loaded she closes the door and gets into the drivers seat. The car starts and begins driving away.

Well the plan is to go to Suin's Lab so we can take a better look at our dear Lauri and her compainion. And hopfully escape transdimensional psychopaths with heavy machineguns and fireball happy wizards long enough for Vomar and GL to finish thier mission and join us.

*Vomar waits, seeing if GL can guess the answer to the riddle*

*stretches herself out not really caring who's face she punches in the process and opens her eyes, looks around grinning at everyone then kisses whitley and sits down looking pretty content and happy*

*settles back for a quick nap before the Lab*

Hmmmm. That's a hard one, Vomar. Let's see.

A mirror could fit the clues - it flashes light through the air, and it could decide life or death if a dying person looked into it as he took his last breath. However, that answer isn't very satisfying, so it probably isn't correct.

A similar answer could be a spoon. A spoon may full of poison, and hence may decide life and death. But that doesn't sound right, either.

It could also be the window of a crashing plane, except the window isn't metal. Or perhaps the blade of a guilotine, except that isn't a disc. Or...

Well, I think I need to think about it a little more.

*Vomar simply grins in a manner similar to that of Barbazzo Fernap, the magical Jester who worked for the rulers of the empire of Quendor before the empire fell due to the curse of the wizard Megaboz. Barbazzo, who was known to be well versed in the arts of riddles, puzzles, and poetry, was last seen using riddles and practical jokes to guide a bumbling adventurer on a quest to preserve some of the kingdom. This, of course, bears no apparant relation to the story at hand, and certainly does not deserve such a lengthy explanation*
