I was going to ask the same thing at some stage too - I'm almost always on Alabaster. I hate the colours, but the layout is easier in my opinion. Still, I have a beret in my coat pocket.

Remember, when the Guide was down, and then that press release appeared about how the Beeb was taking h2g2 under its dusty wing so that it could learn something about online communities and how they work? Well, is it hard to teach an old dog new tricks, or what? Lesson number 1 should have been, "Look, Beeb. H2G2 is written by its users, edited by its users, and MODERATED by its users. See, Beeb? I use alabaster for the same reason as Amy - plus I find it easier to read. Keep in mind that I have a patch over my right eye...
But my heart is as gooey as yours!

Just a point of interest:
I'm Lady K, and some of you may have seen a little pet-project of mine along with a couple others, called the Terran Embassy. The Embassy was basically intended to become as a language tool for non-English Guide users.

Yesterday, I reinstated all the Embassy's entries. The languages we had so far were: French, English, Danish, Polish, Welsh, and Bubblish (courtesy of Hugo the Fish).
This morning I was upset, but intrigued, to note that all English AND FRENCH entries had been left intact, but all other entries INCLUDING BUBBLISH had been re-removed. Bubblish is a series of ....ooOOOooo...O's. And it was removed pending moderation. Is this equal-opportunity-inter-species-moderation, or simply silly? At this point, I'm just not sure.

Add my name too, Anon @ U169290, some of you may remember me as Moose/Grey Spectre, but I registered a new name after the switch since I realized to my shame that I couldn't remember either of my old passwords, nor which email addresses I had registered them with. I've since recovered one page, but the other is still hidden beneath the "pending moderation" notice and probably will for all time. Censorship is unreasonable to place on a group such as this...
