Aren't meets usually athletic events?
smiley - tongueout

Hershey Park had boating events on the river,
a fair amount of climbing on the upgrades,
and competition for place in the lines leading
up to the roller coasters. smiley - smiley

What type of athletic gear will we need to pack
for the next one, oh wise one? smiley - winkeye What events
will we compete in? Jumping to conclusions?
Pushing one's luck? Straddling the fence?
Boarding-house reach? smiley - tongueout

*thinks about the meets he's been to*

Hum, well, we went bowling on the Spring Onion and I suppose there was a certain amount of climbing at the Radish, but not with things like equipment or permission.

Bowling is not a bad idea.... or miniature golf......

But considering how far most people have to travel over here to get to a meet, we should plan a day long, or at least most of the day activity....

I was just pondering the suggestion that meets are athletic thingamijigs, not making suggestions. The most strenuous exercise usually seems to be lifting pints.

Miniature golf can take all day - just ignore the six stroke limit.

And the lines of people behind you who want to play the hole you're on.....

smiley - groan I remember one time when I went mini-golfing... there was this HUGE group ahead of us (ten or fifteen people) who had obviously ignored the group limit (like max # of people) and also appeared to ignore the stroke limit. I think we waited at least ten minutes before we could advance to the next hole...

Six strikes is too many, especially if
you killed the fly on the first strike.

I think I should really try real golf at some point. When I play mini golf, I tend to hit the ball with WAY too much force and usually hit someone. Or I loose the ball. smiley - blush

I lose a lot of balls when I try juggling.
smiley - blush

(Sorry, I'm having trouble staying on the
subject lately.)

smiley - laugh Juggling's fun... I'm trying to teach a two year-old how to do it... He prefers just to throw them up in the air and watch them hit the ground... smiley - winkeye

That is a far more rewarding game. Far easier to get the hang of as well.

No, throwing the balls in the air and watching them hit the ground.
