As some of you may know, h2g2 will be throwing it's first presidential election in three years in a few weeks time, and who you choose as president will shape this site for years to come. I know that some of you may be thinking of voting for 2legs, or Terran, or one of the many other fine candidates, but I'm here to tell you that I think the best man for the job would be Clive the flying ostrich. He's the safest choice, he's the sanest choice, and he's the best choice.

Don't waste your vote, use it, and use it to make Clive the next president of this site.

No spamming or flooding. On h2g2, spamming is the posting of the same (or very similar) messages to lots of forums. Flooding is when the same (or very similar) message is posted over and over again to the same conversation. It's especially antisocial if it's off-topic for those forums. So please don't deliberately send the same message, or very similar messages, to loads of different Conversation Forums, or post the same message to one Conversation multiple times. We'll simply remove your Postings, and possibly your account.


I'd say that's by one person? And they say in a lot of forums. Is a journal technically a forum? The only known issue of this that I know of was the highwaymen: a group of researchers typing stand and deliver in different convo's. I can see how that would be annoying, but I don't know if our case is similar. Maybe we can interrogate an Italic on the subject?

I prefer my candidate to be insane though...
