h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Mr. Warlord, I request permission (from the management!) to make an HTML Thingite online text-based game. It will begin with you lying in the Thingite headquarters, drunk, after a Thingite visit to the Feline and the Fiddle pub. It culminates in a battle between the Thingites and the Th***dayites. I'm a bit flustered - just escaped from Th***dayite attempts to call me their mascot. My last act in that thread was to throw a meat pie floater at Th***day.

Sorry I've been away all this week and shan't be around much over xmas.

I kind of like this idea for a thingite text game but why not give it some more thought or better yet start a forum on the manifesto page asking for suggestions.

Maybe have an ordinary thingite set out on a mission to change the weekday calendar and meet all sorts of puzzles, problems and thursdayists on route.

Well, my idea was that civilisation has become completely Thingite, apart from some villages. One day, the Thingites come to your village and start drunkenly preaching in pubs. You have the chance to join the Thingites, however you can become part of the Thursdayite rebels. Many people will feature prominently in this, for example, you yourself Sir, perhaps Thursday, There are all sorts of links to conversations, one to the Manifesto, the Boardroom of Evil, Plotting and General Mayhem becomes a part of the game, etc. etc.

Scurrilous suggestion that our Warlord spends all his time in pubs, when we all know that when he's not in the arms of his Beloved he's at his pooter plotting the downfall of the iniquitous Th******ites...
