A Conversation for The Manifesto for the Campaign to rename Thursday, "Thing"
Actually, I'm not keen on "Thing"
blackhermit Started conversation Sep 23, 2004
Look, I have travelled far, and in the time of our Lawksohlordy 2001 when I did leave this mudhutted community, I did leave with the very birth of the shrieking babe that has come to be known as the Campaign (etc etc) etched upon my departing mind.
But the dark side of modern technology did lock me out, and I did undergo a transformation, and lo I did return.
And I get back here after how long - more than TWO years? - just to find exactly the same conversation sitting on the Front Page?
I've seen the whole of the moon, guys, while you've just stayed in your rooms!
and! I have news from distant shores.
Thursday is still not called Thing.
So look guys, I've been thinking, maybe the whole package needs remarketing slightly, I mean, actually, maybe 'Thing' isn't quite right. If it was, I'm pretty certain it would have worked by now.

OK OK
BE different. But surely you can keep your heretic sacriligious views to yourself, leave us in our little dreamworld? We're happy. Why disillusion us?
I'm almost tempted to yikes this so that it doesn't reach Clive's tender ears.

Chill, it was just a thought ok, you know, like you get when you sit in a bath millions of lightyears from home and wonder where the other two ships are that are meant to be following on behind...

So we live in a world of our own. But that fine, we know each other here.
Thus spake the loco-Warlord.

Definitely loco. Not sure about the warlord.
I think you meant locum, Ralph?
And, Blackhermit, don't imagine that the Waterboys quote went unnoticed!

Look at that loco gringo llama. He's silly.
Locum it is. In Dutch, however, it is defiantely loco.

Was she bitten on a Thursday?
For if so, to be bitten on a Thing is an evil portent, lo, better then that she was bitten on a Y'Know.

So if it's all the same and all that, I'll just stick to calling Thursdays Y'Know.
