As mud
I mean why can't we invent a new day? Create a whole new calender system. Much more interesting I think. Something to really campaign for?
Not to say that it isn't an interesting idea, and I'm sure a lot of time went in to thinking up the idea, but lets be honest since Rupert a lot hasn't changed other than ACE's putting links to this page (as happened with me) and loads of people signing up to the first "thing" () they see.

AK - fancy that! Posted Oct 29, 2003
actually after 50k postings we started thinking some about other things but it didn't get much publicity...
sure, 7 days is no good, leap years suck, a solar day is actually only 23 hourse 56 minutes and 4 seconds long, thus leaving the extra 4th of a day that causes leap yeears, except its not exactly a fourth so there aren't leap years on the turn of the century but that still doesn't balance it out so there *are* leap years on the milleniums... its all very confusing
But it takes a lot of math to fix everything just right...

Terran Posted Oct 29, 2003
I'm suggesting we re-write the calendar, just for a laugh. Well it just takes one person to get the ball rolling. Not me perhaps, but someone...

Friday night arrives without a suitcase
Sunday morning creeping like a nun
Monday's child has learned ot tie his bootlace.
See how they run.
Tuesday afternoon is never ending
Wednesday morning papers didn't come
Thursday night your stockings needed mending.
See how they run.
and...
Didn't anybody tell her
Didn't anybody see
Sundays on the phone to Monday
Tuesdays on the phone to me
