There's no danger of a collision, but on April 13, 2029, asteroid 2004 MN4 will come awfully close to Earth. You'll be able to see the 320m-wide space rock glowing like a 3rd magnitude star as it passes only 30,000 km above our planet's surface--closer than many satellites.
Unfortunatly a mistake of only .00001% in their calculations or observations would mean a dirrect hit with this one. But then it is only big enough to wipe out most of France and cause severe weather disruptions around the globe lasting several years. Not a planet killer just really nasty.

Two days from now, giant sunspot 720 is due to return. It will peek over the sun's eastern limb on or about February 6th, then slowly turn to face Earth on February 13th. As a result, solar activity might soon increase.
As well there appears to be another large area of sun spots forming just in front of 720 that may turn out to be even bigger and more active, 720 is the sun spot that unleashed the largest X class solar flare in 15 years.
So next week is looking very good for auroras. As long as it doesn't spew out a large flaming ball of plazma towards the earth and incinerate the planet.
Now if that doesn't scare you just a little you must be living on another planet far away from here.
Still Us
We Win!!!
