The Collapsed Ruins of the Strained Underpants

Still snowing here, but it's back to little flakes instead of the big ones that were coming down earlier. We have maybe two inches of new snow out there right now...

Two inches isn't too bad.......and I'm talking about snow!!
If you really want to, you can keep it over there!

It is lovely looking out there , but there's so much salt on the roads now that nothing will stick to them, much to the disappointment of Shorty who would love to at least have school delayed in the morning.

She doesn't walk anyway. You Brits always assume that we live as close to everything in the states as you do over there, and that (even sillier) that we actually have sidewalks (pavements) to make it possible to walk somewhere!

So one day soon Americans will lose their legs entirely? Evolve a car as a permanent part of their anatomy? God help the planet, eh?!
Hi all - on one of my flying visits. Changing job again so goodness knows when I'll be able to get here in future, but it all makes for an interesting life.
So have a on me while the going's good!

No, we're not going to develop automobile appendages
It's just that when school is 3 miles away on a narrow winding heavily traveled road with no sidewalks, it's not just impractical, it's just plain dangerous for her to walk.
We do walk the malls, and people who live in the cities do a good bit of walking. Our public transportation is pathetic too, so not too many people use that - you brits complain about a bus being late - We should be so lucky as to even have bus service in most areas.

Move closer to the school... Hmmm....
Where would we put the house? It's kinda crowded over there....

Couldn't you have a floating house in mid-air - all you need then is a lift to get in and out.
Problem sorted!

It is, all you need to do is invent a whole new technology, test it, build it and put it into use.......you could make a fortune!

Riiight.
Then have dinner on the table by 6pm.
No problem. I should have time for a nap today, too.

Honestly, the nerve of them making you work! What do they think they're paying you to do, anyway?
