It's the Thingite Poetry Hour, brought to you by .
Oh, Wibble!
You crazy division betwixt
Sodit's disappointments
And Poets's promises.

Oh, a masterpiece! It brought a tear to my eyes!
*Looks at tear hovering magically between eyes*
Wow, that's new.

Thing, Thing, glorious Thing
Truer than any occasional fling
Away with Th-r-d-ys of which no one can get a hang
Just let them disappear in one Big Bang
Let's praise this day with devotional sing

Thing, a viking parliament,
Sodit, a term of lament
and so it is, with joy, we say,
and praise in glory great Thor's day
Barbequey 2008
Yes, let's praise our glorious Thing! Read the praise as stated on our page.
Our Thing
Who art twixt Wibble and Poets
Thing be thy name.
Thing Kingdom come
Thing will be done
On Sodit as it is on Dontbry
Lead us not to ignore Thing
And deliver us from Thurs
For Thing is the best
with Wibble, Wimpy and the rest
Just cos it is.
So there.

And so it is with pomp and cheer,
We settle back with chips and beer,
And raise a glass in toast and praise,
Of all the week's glorious days.
Sunday first, a shining one,
Named for Helios, Sol, The Sun.
Monday next, and oft too soon,
Named in honour of the moon.
Then comes the day named after Tyr,
A god of war, but do not fear,
Into the week thrusts, like a spar,
Day of Odin, att alle far.
Then come we next, cry gaudete,
The day of Thor, oh great Thursday.
We celebrate, and dance a jig,
A mother's day, the day of Frigg.
Now Saturday, for peace, not dramas,
And Saturn too, a god for farmers.
And thus it is, with joy, we speak,
The true day names for all the week.

'Tis evening, my daily labors are done.
I've earned my crust and headed home.
Sipping ale as Thing relaxes its hold on me,
Releasing me to Poets's whimsey.

...
Has no-one else noticed that there is blatant use of the forbidden day names a few posts above this one?

Oh, that's just him and his crazy Thdayite propaganda scheme he's trying to enfore here.
It's such a shame that his poetic talent is wasted on such a confused ideology.

Surely that poem already existed, bits of it seem familiar. I could be wrong, but against a Thite I'll be hard pressed to admit it.

TB Falsename,
Perhaps the time has come to stop sucking up to the likes of Oden and Thor, and begin a new era, free of the tyranny of such petty, bickering gods. Embrace the modern age, starting with Thing! Or Doobry!
Happy Doobry, by the way.
HN
Burn the Infidels!
Happy Doobry!
Coming from the Far North, where Thor once was worshipped, born on the day once named after him, at a place where his altar once resided and that still bears the name of said altar
I hereby declare
THING RULES!
Burn the Infidels!
