Well I don't shun the Japanese calender because they don't have their days or months named after deities.
Though oddly enough, the Japanese word for Dontbry literally translates to the dayites word for it...

No I mean if you translate out the individual kanji (well not individual, because "day" is represented by two) it still comes out to be the you-know-who's equivalent to Dontbry.
If you're confused here's another example: the Japanese word for Japan is Nihon (The word Japan comes from gradual butchery of the Chinese word for it as it traveled to Europe). The kanji as a whole it means Japan; however, individually they mean "sun" and "origin", respectively.
In the case of their word for Dontbry, both translate to the same thing (if you translate the whole to the dayite word).
