Huh? What? I don't know anything about US political parties...

I got a letter today saying that as I'm registered to vote in the Nottingham South constituency (the University sorted it all out for me! Aren't they nice? The general expectation is for there to be a general election this year), would I like to vote Liberal Democrat, and if I would, why not join the party?

I think they must have left their brains somewhere in Westminster after their last big party...

Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde

Heh

Our Democrats like to give freebies to everybody(which I've seen as resulting in a LOT of laziness!!! ICKY!!!), while Republicans want people to work at improving the republic, and, propose to reward the productive.

Of course politics go far beyond such lines, so I continue to be INDEPENDENT!!! smiley - winkeye YAY!!! smiley - tongueout

Hence, I feel that people should contribute, not just take. Hence, the reference to being a Queen made me feel like I'd only be a taker... smiley - tongueout
