(BTW iaoth, your haikus have tended to have eight sylables in the middle line, not seven)

Only if you count "sm" (or "zum") in "theism" as one syllable. I'd say 7.5, not 8. How about "But Bloke beautifully": but + Bloke + beau + ty + full + y.

Cue Carl, Chrissy's chap.

Most people tend to say beaut-if-flee, but if you insist you can remove the but. I was referring to common pronunciations, not official ones.

Sad, Mad or Bad? - I always wanted to be a dino, but alas, I'm just old. Posted May 9, 2001
Hi guys, if I've missed adding you to the page, it's not because I don't want to. RL is being painful right now, and I've only kept in touch with a few conversations. If you'd like your name added, and it hasn't been, please reply to the conversation on this page I've set up to do it, and if you leave a link to your haiku, it'll make it a lot easier for me to track you down.

I tend to pronounce it "eye-oth", although I have no idea how it's actually pronounced. Other possibilities are "yay-oth" or "yah-oth", which definitely sounds coolest and is the most plausible pronunciation, since it's probably somehow related to yiddish (being the name of an angel and all). But I guess there's tons of pronunciations. For example, SMoB used it in a haiku as if it had three syllables, probably "eye-ay-oth".
