Ooh, tossing snowballs now are we? I'd rather have a highball myself...
I've just been watching Gladiator... twice in a row... hard on the eyes after a while...
So nobody knows the Pixies, huh? I'm disappointed. 80's music rocks!

Gladiator is hard on the eyes!?? I thought that starring actor was pretty easy on the eyes(of course I am infatuated with someone else, so whoever he is is of little consequence)...
And I won't say ANYTHING about '80's rock... ewww...

Gaah! You don't like 80's rock?!? Please, how could you have a problem with anything like the Pixies, the Cars, Van Halen, the B-52's, old They Might Be Giants, Sonic Youth, the Violent Femmes, old Metallica, Yes, et cetera, et cetera, shall I go on? I think I'm going to form my own country to further the interests of 80's music! Hahahahaha! We'll listen to 80's music and complain about new music sucking! Who will join me? Who will stand with me in my quest for ulimate pointlessness and lets-get-together-and-get-all-riled-up-for-no-good-reason-ism? Mwa ha aha ahahahahahahaa!

Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Dec 3, 2000
::laughs:; I agree that new music stinks... But... I feel that all the really good music was written by Mozart or people who lived in his lifetime...
Or... Paul McCartney, and people who inspired him, or followed him by oh... well... anyone who was hanging around and doing well for the decade following the BEATLE break-up...
Anything else leaves a little to be desired...
Hey... Marc... are you a Musician's Guild Member!?? ... Just thought of that... you can check it out by going to my userpage(there's alink to the Musician's Guild near the top of my page)...
Is Plato begging for more food, after he ate all of that sushi!??

That's sad... My guess is because Fragillis(spelling!??) Isn't online as much as I am, and I go around and bug people and then beg them to come check out the Musehome... :-P Won't you have a drink, Marc!?? http://www.h2g2.comF59196?thread=91206 (Just like that!!! :-P)

There is plenty of good modern music around, but you don't tend to hear it in the charts due to all of these dud manufactured groups who only have the one pre-hyped hit. try listening to john peel on bbc radio 1 late at night, and you will see what I mean.

Yum!
I left Misha behind, as he has been VERY naughty of late...wouldn't want him upsetting the guests, Dagonfly, now would I?
*Sways and hums to whatever music is playing - Tashalls has no aversion to 80s music, or any kind of music, really (so long as it isn't death metal or techo)*

Yes, three days of fancy dress!
sewing mine right now . . . And working on a paper--temporarily resigned membership in the Procrastinator's Society, only haven't gotten around to notifying them of that or changing handle . .. maybe I haven't resigned.
Anybody else a Prarie Home Companion fan? (radio show on NPR, which is US equivalent of BBC radio)

Hmm 80's Christmas music? The only thing that pops into my head is that freakin pop song, who is it, Paul McCartney? "Siiiimplyyyy haaaaviiiing a wonderful Christmastime!" repeat ad nauseum. That could be a good song except for the fact that radio stations tend to play it something like every five minutes all through the month of December... not sure if it's 80's though...
