Hi Linus, .
Kes, got any of that ol' Janx Spirit?
Hallo, Waldo. I think we met once in a flying castle at a costume ball, but I could be wrong. Anyway, nice to see you.

>I can't seem to get in from home for about the last month. Only from work like now<
That's the best thing I've heard about work for ages, Linus

shazzPRME Posted May 15, 2001
It's probably the ONLY reason for actually getting up and going to work... apart from the meagre fiscal rewards of course

Just wait until your offspring becomes of Internet age, Linus! Then you'll have my problem of battling who uses the 'puter in the evenings!
*Growls at her daughter who is prowling around and waiting for her mother to vacate "the chair" to commence singing yet another offering of food for the family meal*

shazzPRME Posted May 15, 2001
It sounds like you need more then one computer and a network system in the house Gwennie!
How to you 'sing' food btw... is that something like an 'eat me' version?

Linus...42, i guess that makes me the answer... Posted May 15, 2001
We already have 2 phone lines...might have to make it 3
Thankfully we have a large desk but it will probably be wireless by then anyway.
Access is so bad at home i have even contemplated getting a cable connection despite the huge cost, just so i can get into h2g2...

*swallows some of the PGGB...*
Hey, Shazz, Gwennie... check out those Deimosian guys. Is it me, or are they looking goooood?

Ohboyohboyohoboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboy!
This drinking is having a serious effect on mari-rae! Next thing we know she'll be asking one out on a date!
Personally I've never had a thing for beings with ... I prefer big ears... like that nice Mr Quark I once met... he certainly knew what to do with his lobes...

*Considers the infinite possibilities, and decides not to approach mari-rae or attempt a pat, considering what happened to his front teeth last time. Takes another swig of PGGB, and watches a spilt drop start to dissolve the Teflon floor covering ...*

Gwennie Posted May 16, 2001
Okay, Shazz! So I admit to occasionally singing (not a pretty sight or sound) to my food whilst cooking but I also manage to "singe" it! (I should have said "singeing")
I must admit that Mari has something there as these alien chappies (Especially the ones with big ears or preferably biceps in my case!) do have a certain...
*Takes a deep breath and a hasty gulp of her *

Even if I am an alien myself I would hate to see my daughter married to one of these guys - has anyone dropped something in that drink of yours, mari-rae?

Kumabear Posted May 16, 2001
*puts arm around mari-rae's shoulder and shows the aliens a sharp, toothy grin*

Wowbagger recalls...
*Everyone goes all wobbly in a cross-fade*
Way back when (in the prebeeb era) there were a number of very attractive (and naked, no less) Demosian ladies that tickled the fella's fancys, including yours truly. Ahh, those were the days!
*The wobbly cross-fade again. Back at the present.*
Off you go ladies! Only fair! Enjoy yourselves! We'll mind the alcohol!

*sobs nostagically*
...it's just not fair, damn it!...
